Gained full visibility and streamlined threat detection through behavior-based insights and AI integration
Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Security platform has reduced malware risk and has strengthened compliance for macOS endpoints
Jamf Protect provides multiple levels of telemetry collection, allowing me to select how sensitive I want to be on event triggers. Jamf Protect allows me to monitor against specific threat categories aligned to the MITRE ATT&CK framework. In addition to protection, I utilize Jamf Protect to monitor our endpoint compliance with the CIS critical security control baseline. If the environment is predominantly Apple based, Jamf Protect is a strong solution for providing EDR capabilities to endpoints. The detection capabilities are on par with other leading EDR tools, and it integrates well with Jamf MDM. The compliance telemetry, log forwarding, and USB device management included as part of Jamf Protect provide a good return on investment. Jamf Protect has had a positive impact on my organization, as it has been one of the best tools that protects against malware. It offers better detection of malware, reducing downtime and risk to our network by approximately 30 to 50 percent. Implementing it is straightforward, although there can be a steep learning curve in general, especially for less technical users. The competitive pricing included in the business package is great, and compliance with our security standards has been maintained.

"The management capabilities, allow an IT organization to get quite a good picture of attempted cyber attacks."
"The level of security I get for my endpoints and servers is extremely valuable."
"We've had a significant increase in blocking with a decrease in false positives, because it's looking at how the files work, not just a list of files that it's been told to look for."
"Traps has drastically reduced our endpoint attack surface via advanced detection capabilities, sandboxing of never before seen programs, and by drastically limiting where executables can launch in the first place."
"On a scale from one to ten, I would rate Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks a nine."
"Based on my experience, I would recommend Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks to other people."
"The product's initial setup phase has very simple steps."
"Jamf Protect has had a positive impact on my organization, as it has been one of the best tools that protects against malware."
"If some other organization is using Jamf Pro, they should definitely go for Jamf Protect, as that will streamline many things for them."
"Jamf Protect's most effective features for threat detection include managing devices and applications, deploying and upgrading the OS, and its overall security features."
"The behavioral detection is valuable."
"I rate the technical support a ten out of ten."
"The features I find most valuable in Jamf Protect are amazing because any malware or any viruses can harm the entire fleet, and Jamf Protect takes action and protects against any alerts, and we are safe from any viruses and any attacks from the entire world."
"The tool's tech support is helpful and efficient. It also has an active community."
"The only thing that I have found useful is that I have an overview of my systems in the networks."
"In case it works, we are looking to use features like USB blocking, file upload alerts, and other antivirus features as well, but this software has to work first."
"The product's initial setup phase is easy."
"The most valuable feature is its endpoint protection, particularly the antivirus component. It has been very effective in protecting our clients, and since its installation, we haven't encountered any issues with compromised endpoints or virus impacts."

Cons

"Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth."
"The setup is quite easy. We had appropriate support from the manager. One thing that was missing was the integration part."
"Cortex XDR is trickier to configure than other Palo Alto products. This is one area where we are not so satisfied."
"We would also like to have advanced tech protection and email scanning."
"It'll help if customization was easier."
"It would be better if they could educate the customers more. Some sort of seminars and roadshows will help educate the customers and show what the product can do."
"We have found that there are times Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks does not detect some of the viruses, we have to use another protection solution called Kaspersky."
"It tends to do 99.9% of things. The only thing I'd like is single sign-on authentication into their cloud platform so that my users can be properly authenticated against it."
"I think they could improve their technical support because sometimes for emergency needs, I require one-to-one support and can't wait even 24 hours to resolve my issue."
"Jamf Protect needs to improve its pricing."
"I'd really like to see some data loss prevention (DLP) capabilities. More visibility into user activity on laptops would be helpful."
"Beginners need initial training."
"To improve Jamf Protect, I suggest enhancing the end user onboarding user experience, expanding out-of-the-box support for additional SIEMs, and noting that the user interface takes some getting used to."
"The scope of improvement will fall under the support hierarchy that the tool offers to the latest version that Apple derives for any of the latest operating systems to launch."
"Regarding improvements for Jamf Protect, I receive the warnings related to insecure website accesses through mail at a later stage, so if they could be flagged the moment I visit them, that would be great because I would know exactly which website was causing the warnings."
"The solution's integration with other tools is slow."
"The cost of the solution can be improved."
"The solution's integration capabilities are moderate and could be improved."
"I would like to see Seqrite add a remote profile so we can implement different policies for users connecting to the in-office LAN and those accessing the office network from home or a public internet connection."
"User management could be improved."
"It should be able to detect and report any ransomware attack but currently, it doesn't detect and it doesn't report any."
"Endpoint Security would be improved by adding DLP."
"I don't feel that the scalability part of Seqrite Endpoint Security is better than the other products in the market."
"Sometimes, small and medium businesses, or even startups with just five, ten, or fifteen systems, are also keen to secure their data. There is a reluctance on the part of the technical team to extend installation support when the opportunity sizes are smaller. Seqrite Endpoint Security has a lot of value. Still, its marketing could be done much better on a larger scale, especially in India, in light of the new DPDP 2023 Act, which the Indian Parliament passed. It would be even more valuable if Seqrite could incorporate features to help companies comply with this law, it would be even more helpful."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is okay, although direct support can be expensive."
"Our license will require renewal in August, after which the maintenance will continue as usual."
"Compared to CrowdStrike, Cortex XDR is an expensive solution."
"I did PoCs on products called Cylance and CrowdStrike. Although, I consider these products and they were also good, when it come to cost and budgetary factors, Traps has been proven to be better than the other two products. It is quite cost-effective and delivers all the entire solution which we require."
"The price of the product is not very economical."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is quite an expensive solution."
"In terms of the cost Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is very expensive because we are a Mexican company and when you translate dollars to pesos the cost is very high. The solution is very expensive for Mexican companies. I understand that they have international prices, but I do not think it offsets the price enough for many companies in countries, such as Mexico. The amount it is reduced is not a massive percentage."
"This is an expensive solution."
"It's significantly cheaper than other options like ApexOne."
"The licensing costs are yearly and expensive."
"Jamf Protect is an expensive solution."
"Jamf Protect costs double the price that we were paying before."
"I rate the product price as a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price, and ten is a high price."
"The solution has reasonable pricing. There is one pricing without any hidden charges. They have to pay once a year or three years."
"You need to pay for a yearly license for Seqrite Endpoint Security, which is expensive."
"The solution's pricing is good for us, where it is neither cheap nor expensive."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"There is no option to refund the money and unfortunately, we bought a three-year license, seeing that Quick Heal is a long-established player in the market."
"As per the suggestions from one of the experts we know, it is advisable to make a proper comparison with the local vendors instead of solely relying on online prices, which are often higher and quite expensive."
"We get the tool for around 1200 rupees for a three-year subscription. I rate its pricing a nine out of ten."
"The license isn't expensive."
