Long-standing experience improves reliability and security, making it a trusted platform
It's difficult to see improvements when using it daily. They improved compatibility with other platforms, such as Linux. One improvement I was thinking about some years ago was the ability to manage an on-premises server from Azure. Now, they have created Azure Arc, and we are using it as a very good way of managing on-premises servers. What can be improved is on the Azure side. With Active Directory on the server side and Entra ID on the Azure side in our hybrid environment, we find issues with data syncing to Entra ID. In Entra ID, Microsoft omitted some parameters. In Active Directory, you can put an expiring date to an account, but you cannot do that in Entra ID. We have other means of doing that, but it's common to have consultants working for six months, requiring account expiration or renewal processes. The Entra ID Connect syncing tool could be improved. Though they moved the service to Azure and use an agent instead of having a dedicated server, it remains cumbersome to set up due to the differences between Entra ID and Active Directory.

Pros

"I have observed improvements in CI/CD infrastructure optimization, designing AI-native workloads, exploring pricing alternatives, and forecasting."
"Using InfrOS accelerates the process of migration planning and execution."
"The solution is highly secure and stable with many policies."
"The benefits of moving to Windows 10 far outweigh the costs of replacing some old applications (that are probably no longer supported and may have serious security issues)."
"As an end-user, the experience of the solution is that it's very reliable."
"It's quite stable."
"The solution is easy to learn. It doesn't take much training."
"Windows Server is easy to use. It's user friendly for the admin guys."
"The solution is very stable and reliable."
"Definitely, I would recommend this solution to others who are interested in using it."

Cons

"There is room for improvement in the Github connection."
"I would really like to have features that will help me analyze my usage on existing environments in the cloud and suggest architectural optimization improvements."
"It should have more stability and fewer automatic updates."
"It could be more stable. Windows has certain problems that Unix platforms don't have. It requires more administrative effort as compared to Unix. I don't know why Microsoft has not changed that. It generates a lot of trash data, so slowly and steadily, you find more and more space being utilized. There is some kind of administrative load, which doesn't happen with Unix."
"As I have already paid for a license, I should have the option of requesting the containerized functionality from the OS to reduce the Windows Server OS footprint."
"Windows Server could be improved with cheaper licensing costs."
"Stability-wise, there is room for improvement."
"The security policies need improvement."
"The scalability of Windows Server is okay, but it could be better."
"The technical support needs to be improved."
