Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Automation has streamlined complex workflows and delivers faster, more reliable onboarding
I think IBM watsonx Orchestrate can be improved by implementing simpler configuration for complex workflows and providing more flexibility when building custom integrations with internal applications. The monitoring and debugging experience could also be more detailed, especially for understanding exactly where a multi-step workflow failed and why. Regarding needed improvements, the overall user experience is fairly intuitive, but some advanced configuration areas have a steep learning curve for new users. I would also like to see more detailed, real-world examples in the documentation, particularly for complex enterprise integrations, troubleshooting, and production deployment patterns. Better production monitoring and more detailed troubleshooting would make a noticeable difference. More ready-to-use enterprise integration patterns and clearer guidance for scaling complex workflows would also help teams adopt faster.

Workflow automation has transformed portfolio control and centralizes cross‑department requests
Something I would like to see improved in Pipefy is the dashboards. They are good, but they are a little limited. This point is important, and I would also like to see a bit more clarity in the use of AI tokens. Pipefy already offers connection and artificial intelligence tools that help you with your forms and make the process much more intuitive, but it is still a bit obscure regarding consumption, how that consumption occurs, and how to build this in a way that is relatively economical. Another important thing is related to cost. Pipefy's license cost is a high cost compared to other players in the market, but so far it has been worth it. Another thing I would suggest is if they had a white-label option where we could put a bit more of the company's identity. Pipefy already is white label, but the customization options are a little more limited. Turning that into a more attractive page would be nice for some companies so that we can incorporate it into our portals.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The integrations of Automation Anywhere with the mainframe application for banking companies are among the most valuable features... we were able to create very good solutions integrated with that kind of platform using Automation Anywhere."
"Document automation has impacted efficiency and productivity because initially, we tried training the module on multiple unstructured documents, which resulted in less efficiency, but over time, we have trained with multiple documents, and it is now achieving great accuracy."
"The best feature is its ability to combine Automation Anywhere with AI to build intelligent bots."
"What I appreciate the most about Automation Anywhere is how easy it is to use."
"We used to set up 150 to 250 products in a week; that has come down to a day, and now I initiate the bot, go home, and by the time I am back it is done, so time is something that we are saving, we are becoming more efficient, and our partners are happy."
"It's a perfect product; it's made my life very easy and a lot of people's lives very easy, removing hectic, repetitive, boring work and giving people free time to do the work they really want to do."
"The Bot Store is an online library where anybody can find variously developed, production-ready bots."
"Automation Anywhere has helped my customers save time and costs, especially in card settlements, where a task that used to take about fourteen days to refund the user now takes the next day or at the same time using Robotic Process Automation."
"IBM watsonx Orchestrate has positively impacted my organization by providing ease of implementation, configuration, and integration, making it very easy and possibly beneficial for the team."
"IBM watsonx Orchestrate has positively impacted my organization by providing a new optimized environment in which I could create much more powerful and complex agents, helping us create different opportunities and show demos at various events, allowing clients to see what we can do with the platform."
"IBM watsonx Orchestrate has positively impacted our organization by helping us with governance and security layers for AI agents."
"For an organization that uses IBM, it is definitely a tool that integrates very well and clearly with the entire IBM suite, and beyond that it is also powerful because it integrates with all cloud providers without any problems."
"For one of our onboarding workflows, the overall turnaround time came down by roughly 30 to 40%, primarily by removing manual handoffs and follow-ups."
"IBM watsonx Orchestrate helped my team move from building every AI workflow from scratch to using reusable agents, tools, and integrations; this meant APIs, authentication logic, knowledge sources, and business actions could be packaged once and then reused across multiple use cases instead of being built for each assistant."
"Regarding IBM watsonx Orchestrate's AI capabilities, governance and security are extremely valuable and top of the industry."
"Pipefy has impacted my organization positively by allowing us to orchestrate everything within the company."
"I truly enjoy working with Pipefy because it is so intuitive that even when I needed to create fields with formulas and other non-standard field types, they are very easy to customize."
"Pipefy has had a positive impact on my organization by helping the collections team convert invoices that were overdue into paid invoices and, consequently, cash for the company."
"Certainly, there has been measurable improvement with Pipefy, such as an increase in productivity due to no longer performing so much manual work."
"Pipefy makes it easier to organize clients, demands, and other elements to optimize processes."
"Since using Pipefy, I estimate that we have saved 50% in time and costs."
"I would advise other people who are thinking about using Pipefy that it is a great tool that will make their lives easier, optimize their time, and facilitate teamwork, so I would highly recommend this tool for those who are going to work in a team, especially."
"Throughout the whole time I used Pipefy, I liked it a lot, it is very practical and very fast, and I never had problems."

Cons

"A standardized improvement area for any RPA tool is making it more user-friendly. This can be done by allowing users to give instructions in their language. For example, one should be able to say in his or her language to automate the login page of the XYZ application. It should be able to create a flow based on the information or screenshots that the user provides."
"The Automation Anywhere University courses have helped us, but it could improve some things, like how the courses are designed."
"Getting buy-in was a major challenge because of the various people not aware of the technologies moving and getting buy-in from top management is a challenge."
"Anything that can be done to simplify the solution. I would love to see it where anybody who can run Excel will be able to create bots. Right now, I am watching everyone around me struggle with the tool."
"They need to make the AA stable across all browsers and I hope to see it fixed in the next version."
"When it comes to stability, complex bots always have issues."
"It is not able to use OCR effectively and has limited usability."
"As far as stability is concerned, there have been some challenges."
"The best things to improve about IBM watsonx Orchestrate are better debugging across multiple agent workflows."
"The monitoring and debugging experience could also be more detailed, especially for understanding exactly where a multi-step workflow failed and why."
"Better integration with other services can improve IBM watsonx Orchestrate."
"The customer support takes longer than is reasonable."
"Probably the documentation could be a bit lighter and maybe integrated with AI tools that allow immediate access to the answer."
"My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for IBM watsonx Orchestrate reveals that it is expensive."
"What is lacking is direct support, since I am required to go through a third-party outsourcing company to connect with Pipefy."
"Sometimes there are errors such as outages or instabilities in Pipefy. Sometimes I have to log in two to three times a day."
"A potential improvement would be for Pipefy to send a message when something takes, for example, four days with nothing happening or it is still waiting for an answer or needs approval."
"I think Pipefy could be improved by providing better assistance to users who are customizing or creating automations, as it can become confusing when users do not know how to customize or do not think through the logic they are building for fields, which can lead to conflicts."
"I find Pipefy's customer support really bad and unsatisfactory."
"I think an improvement, a good improvement, would be on the cost. I think it is a slightly expensive platform and a slightly expensive system."
"Pipefy's license cost is a high cost compared to other players in the market, but so far it has been worth it."
"In other departments, I had the opportunity to observe that there was a high volume of cards and many phases, so navigation got a bit slow and even required excessive scrolling to locate them."
