Effective and extensive campus Wi-Fi with room for better frequency management

Offers visibility and cost benefits
The tool has given us more visibility, but I'm not very technical, so I can't comment on specific features. However, the diagnostic tools for identifying system issues have greatly improved, which we appreciate. We still use Cisco ICE for authentication on the Juniper network, as we did before. We've seen cost benefits with the Juniper WLC Series, which was a key factor in our decision-making during the proof of concept. Besides cost improvements, we've also noticed better resolution of issues and faults in our help desk, thanks to the enhanced features.

"It provides reliable and effective Wi-Fi to our clients and it is very scalable for high density installations."
"Its cloud machine has AI and machine learning, and therefore, it can help ensure IT has good monitoring and quicker response time as well as good troubleshooting capabilities."
"Juniper Wireless is reasonable, with a bit of complexity compared to Alibaba and SQL."
"The tool has given us more visibility, but I'm not very technical, so I can't comment on specific features. Besides cost improvements, we've also noticed better resolution of issues and faults in our help desk, thanks to the enhanced features."
"It prevents a large number of unauthorized modifications of access point devices."

Cons

"The demo program is an area for improvement in Huawei Wireless as it's hard to use."
"The technical support needs to be improved. They also need to produce some more technical guides."
"The solution's integration with some AAA servers like Aruba ClearPass is difficult and could be improved."
"The solution could be easier to use."
"There was one time I had a problem with their centralized licensing. I called the Indian call center, but the response was not that good."
"The speed could be a bit better."
"While I am fine with the current licensing price, I would appreciate it to be more cost-effective."
"I have encountered connectivity issues with the tool. I am not sure if it is due to Wi-Fi inference. I would like the solution to include some marketing analytics features like evaluation of user behavior."
"There could be a high level of security."
"We would prefer it if the solution could be less expensive."
"WLCv was a product at the being of its evolution, so there was room for improvement there."
"The biggest issue was that Juniper stopped developing, so we had to look for another solution."
"The solution should create configuration documentation."
"Juniper WLC Series has certain shortcomings in traffic monitoring."
"The network coverage of Juniper WLC Series and Cisco is different. We need to add additional access points."
"The support on offer to other vendors switching - like Aruba or Ruckus - could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is very cost-effective."
"I would rate them something, like, eight to nine, on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
"The product has a good price."
"Right now, my company made a one-time purchase of Huawei Wireless. It depends, but in most of the projects where customers buy hardware with some software, it's a one-time purchase. Customers pay a yearly fee for other projects for support and additional software features, such as email protection firmware updates for cybersecurity. You'll also receive information about the latest attacks and get more protection if you pay an additional fee apart from the standard license fee. You'll also get an additional warranty for Huawei Wireless, a yearly contract."
"We don't have any control on the pricing. This comes from Huawei in India. Pricing-wise, Huawei is very aggressive and competitive if you compare them to competitors, like Cisco, Aruba, and Ruckus. The Indian Huawei team tells us, "Just pick up the order and design the infrastructure. If there are any pricing challenge, we'll work on that and we will try to match things 100 percent.""
"Extras come with a surcharge."
"Its price is very good. This wireless system totally costs about 30,000 euros, and some of the other solutions cost about 45,000 euros. It is a difference of 15,000 euros, which is quite a lot of money."
"The price of Huawei Wireless is very good."
"The product is relatively affordable for enterprise companies."
"The licensing cost is quite high, but considering it's an enterprise solution, the complexity justifies the price."
"The solution's pricing is reasonable."
"There is a certain amount that needs to be paid towards the licensing charges associated with the product, but though I am not sure, I feel the licenses that we have in our company are for three years."
"Juniper WLC Series is a bit pricey but worth its cost."
