Automated incident response has improved ownership clarity and data-driven decision making
I believe one of the biggest impacts FireHydrant had on my organization was identifying ownership across services and products and then being able to track execution.Tracking execution and identifying ownership improved things for my teams because nobody could hide behind a "I didn't know" or "it wasn't a problem" kind of response. As long as deep observabilities were in place, so logs, metrics, and traces, identifying where the issues were and then routing to those teams was critical. This also allowed me to take a data-driven approach in identifying where further R&D needed to happen across the product suite based off of what our customers were actually doing, bypassing biases from sales teams, development teams, and others.

Automation and AI have transformed our service delivery and have made IT support faster and more efficient
I always keep up with Freshservice's roadmaps and new features. Freshservice has been very good at listening to feedback and adding those feature requests into their next iterations. I wish they would offer more granular data export options for utilizing in Power BI, along with predictive analytics for capacity planning and SLA breaches to enable more proactive support management and reduce firefighting. While the dashboards are effective, some users find custom reporting limited compared to ServiceNow or Jira. I would also appreciate deeper integrations, especially for niche apps requiring development coding work to enable advanced orchestration. Native integrations for DevOps pipelines such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins, along with stronger API flexibility for complex workflows, would enhance functionality. Although the CMDB and asset management are solid, they do lack advanced dependency mapping compared to other enterprise tools. My wishlist includes automated impact analysis for changes and improved visualization of asset relationships, enabling quicker resolutions from an agent's perspective when alerts come in. I acknowledge that Device42 may enhance this, but it is an extra cost beyond what we already pay. While Freddy AI is excellent for triage and suggestions, some users desire more proactive automation, such as predictive ticket routing based on historical patterns and AI-driven capacity forecasting. Lastly, the pricing tiers might seem rigid for mid-sized teams, so a more granular add-on option for features such as Device42 or pay-per-use for orchestration workflows could be beneficial.

Pros

"I believe one of the biggest impacts FireHydrant had on my organization was identifying ownership across services and products and then being able to track execution."
"FireHydrant had a great impact on my organization, given we were using it consistently across all the incidents that we had."
"Its ease of use is fantastic. It is just above and beyond, especially when you compare it to something like Cherwell, Salesforce, or anything like that. It is on its own level. It is so easy to administer. The way everything is organized and the way it builds its own documentation is very good."
"The solution is very responsive with a 97% success rate in funneling customer tickets."
"It's very handy and very easy to use."
"The stability is pretty solid; we've never had major outages or any workflow issues that weren't caused by an administrative error, and it's been pretty stable as far as a ticketing platform is concerned."
"The most valuable aspect of the solution is the user experience."
"One of the key benefits of Freshservice is license management."
"We find its ability to track what's going on with each request very valuable."
"We use the ticketing system primarily, which is very easy to use for all users."

Cons

"FireHydrant's AI capabilities need to be treated with scrutiny regarding accuracy and reliability of output, and for the provider to be able to instill absolute trust in the user base is very difficult."
"Back then, I think there were some missing features in their Terraform provider, so that is the only thing that comes into my mind regarding needed improvements."
"The product should look at BCM or ServiceNow and see if there are features that would make nice additions. It would help them stay competitive."
"It is 80% stable. Some users face issues in Chrome and Firefox."
"Freshservice could improve the integration with Microsoft Outlook."
"We'd like to see a CMDB, a Configuration Management Database, in the future."
"I experienced some delay in response time for non-function critical queries."
"I'd like to see better reporting on changes and as well as enhancements to the task/time function."
"Freshservice has limitations in the discovery part of the solution. In order to automate the process of bringing information from your infrastructure to the database of the solution, it has a lot of limitations."
"We did a review of our project management tool internally within the company, and it was one of the choices, but it didn't match up anywhere close to any of the other tools we were considering."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Freshservice is a fairly cheap solution. Though monthly payments can be made towards the licensing costs of the solution, my company prefers to make annual payments."
"I can't recall exactly how much we pay, but it is somewhere in the middle compared to the rest of the market. The more we purchase, the cheaper it becomes, and I think the solution offers good value for money."
"We're basically paying about $100 USD per agent per month."
"The cost at the current timing is very reasonable but as the product gains popularity, I anticipate it might become expensive. Fortunately my customers have been offered a generous discount making it more affordable for me and satisfying both my needs and customers requirement."
"Freshservice price is competitive, it is not more than other solutions on the market."
"I don't think it's expensive for the US or some European markets. Still, when I used Freshservice in Mexico, some customers found it a bit pricey, especially considering the platform's features. I think the pricing is fair for use in the European market, but it might be perceived differently in Latin America."
"Compared to other tools, Freshservice is affordable."
"The pricing information is on their website. It's my understanding that their Pro Plan, for example, is around $89/month."
