Wireless projects run smoothly with more access point support and competitive pricing
D-Link Wireless offers more supported APs to the WLC with the default license compared to other brands like Cisco. With Cisco, only four to five APs are connected with the default license, but D-Link Wireless provides more flexibility. Local support in Pakistan is necessary for those with limited budgets, creating a reach in the market.
Raihan Hossain - PeerSpot reviewer
Consistently manages user capacity and satisfaction with ease
I have completed over twenty projects using Juniper Mist Wireless Access Points ( /products/juniper-mist-wireless-access-points-reviews ), and I continue to see exceptional performance in the areas of user capacity, user experience, and user satisfaction. This makes Juniper Mist Wireless Access Points highly recommended if the customer's budget allows, as the hardware performance is also very good. From my perspective, the Juniper reporting logs are clear and provide necessary data, which supports better management and diagnosis.

Cons

"In future, it would also be good to have a switch within D Link that works as well as the Cisco 9200 Switch."
"Password restriction: Sometimes we set a password and it uses that password but, after some days/months, the password gets changed and a few laptops still use old the password while a few use the new password. The password restriction option needs to improve."
"Its interface and support system need much improvement. Sometimes, when we use the interface to reset the password and configure SSIDs, or some other changes, the "Save" option does not show and we have to go to some internal setting and then we can "save" the setting. The “Save” option should be in front of or below of the settings."
"The solution doesn't have hotspots. Users can't set it up so that visitors can log in via Facebook or social media as they can at, for example, airports. D-Link should include hotspots that offer integration with social media. That way, visitors don't need to be asking people for passwords. They can just use Facebook."
"The performance offered by D-Link Wireless can be a bit problematic at times, owing to which it is an area that can be considered for improvement."
"It would definitely help if we had more advanced features for distributing bandwidth."
"In future releases, it can keep improving on countering the new patterns of security attacks."
"The solution's performance could be improved."
"They should include SD-WAN features to it."
"The reporting logs require improvement in terms of clarity because it can be difficult to find specific information about network influences."
"The product should include adaptive Wi-Fi to show a more accurate location."
"I need a bit more time with it before criticizing the features."
"Enrolling into the tool is a tedious process."
"Improving third-party integration is key for Juniper Mist's next release."
"It would be helpful to have even stronger security features to help protect against interference from other nearby access points that aren't part of our network."
"Though certain security features are integrated into the product, my company has to always look forward to tightening certain security functionalities in the solution."
