Phishing prevention and advanced threat protection have improved security for remote workers
Some of the best features that Check Point Harmony Browse offers include real-time phishing and malware protection, which inspects website links in real time and blocks phishing attempts and malicious downloads before they reach the user. Zero-day threat prevention, including built-in zero-day prevention, is a significant differentiator. It provides a seamless user experience since it runs directly inside the browser without slowing down browsing or requiring a VPN. This allows employees to securely access web and SaaS resources without realizing there's an extra layer of security. These features make a big difference for our team and company, such as in a particular situation where it helped us. We received a fake O365 page that posed a sophisticated phishing threat, and instead of relying solely on user awareness, Check Point Harmony Browse blocked the site in real time. This action prevented credential compromise and saved our security team from a potential incident response. Another crucial feature is the smooth integration with SaaS applications such as Teams, Zoom, or Google, which does not interfere with their operation. Users don't even notice there is any security tool running; it feels like security without friction.

Designed to provide comprehensive and secure internet access with high visibility into users
After my purchase, I noticed a need for improvements, particularly in the area of identifying the source user of the device, which can sometimes roll back to the base. Additionally, there were challenges with SSL gate traffic, which wasn't functioning as effectively as expected. Even though there have been fixes to these issues, they should be inherent to the product and need further attention. These aspects, especially sub-features, aren't very robust and seem complex. Regarding integration, while Sangfor Internet Access Gateway (IAG) integrates well with its own products, its compatibility with third-party tools like QB is limited. There's room for improvement in making protocols compatible with various third-party products.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Its content filtering is great."
"Check Point Harmony Browse has a feature that allows users to check the extensions installed in their browser. This feature is valuable because hackers may install malicious extensions on a target computer without the user's knowledge. When browsing, users are often less aware of the extensions installed in their browsers, making it easier for malicious extensions to go unnoticed. By providing visibility into installed extensions, Check Point Harmony Browse enhances security by allowing users to identify and remove potentially harmful extensions."
"Since using Check Point Harmony Browse, we have noticed a significant drop in security incidents, approximately 30 to 40% fewer phishing and malware cases, which has saved our IT team a lot of time on incident response and helped avoid costly downtime."
"Check Point Harmony Browse helps with securing managed and unmanaged devices by functioning as a lightweight browser that validates the user on the basis of device posture when first authenticated, allowing access to secure internet applications or internal applications regardless of whether the device is corporate or a personal BYOD device."
"Implementing Check Point Harmony Browse has significantly strengthened our company's web security by reducing exposure to phishing and malware attacks."
"It gives our customers a sense of security they might not have found anywhere else."
"Its potential features of Threat Detection and Threat Emulation have helped businesses to browse securely hassle-free without any tension."
"The product enforces the privacy of the users, which is good."
"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The most significant aspect is the control it offers over internet traffic, like managing computer access to specific sites such as Facebook. I find particular value in its ability to control the depth of internal traffic, enabling actions like blocking specific file extensions on social media or specific IPs. This control by categories is a standout feature for us in Sangfor Internet Access Gateway (IAG)."
"The solution is interoperable and has centralized management."

Cons

"Support must be faster in solving problems."
"The ease of handling should be improved, as it is currently intrusive and some users don't like it."
"One of the new features I would like to see is the possibility that these tools can be brought to mobile devices such as tablets and cell phones in iOS or Android applications."
"I believe that more granular customization, improved user feedback, expanded integration, and performance optimization would improve Check Point Harmony Browse."
"They should focus on new areas of product. In the last year, they have not released any updates with improvements or extra options."
"More focus and emphasis is required on customization and real-time notification and alert system."
"Check Point Harmony Browse can be improved by reducing false positive reports."
"Having local support everywhere in the world would be helpful."

"In Sangfor Internet Access Gateway (IAG), its speed is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"The solution's logging system should be improved because its logs are not precise and are a little confusing."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product has a reasonable pricing."
"The price is not very expensive for our organisation, but for others, it might be a little expensive."
"I rate the product pricing a five or six out of ten on a scale of one to ten."
"The solution’s pricing is cheaper than any other solution."
"It is one of the reason for choosing it over other available products. However, recently, this year, there have been recurring concerns. I believe we might consider migrating to another solution."
