Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I think that the positives of Camunda Platform are that our customers can start with the free version. I think it is the most important.""The number of client implementations and cross-language capabilities to support multiple frameworks is very pluggable compared to Pega. It's also more portable.""It has an open BPM""I can use any other tools to create services and the UI, and then use them together with the Camunda BPMN engine.""One reason we selected Camunda or Cloud/DB is that it comes with the support of the BPMN notation, which helps to define processes in a standard manner. Another reason was that Camunda Cloud, as the name says, is designed for a new cloud era.""There's this graphic that tells you how many lines or how many tickets are in each step. In that way, you know where you stand. I find this feature very valuable.""Camunda's most valuable feature is its ability to integrate with different products.""Using the BPMN helps us to have a common shared communication language when discussing processes."

"It is working fine so far. I haven't heard anything bad about it from the applications team that is using it, so I assume that it is doing okay.""They are a good team that is proactive, and they are trying to accommodate all of our requirements.""The UI is easy. It's not very code based, so you can make certain changes on your end.""Newgen will structure the system based on all the requirements of the business. We can design the forms as complex forms or make our own versions to fix what's wrong.""The most valuable features of Newgen OmniFlow are the user interface, the low-code no-code designer tools, and the integration models are important.""The most valuable feature is the flexibility in using it.""The most valuable feature for us is the Omnicon. That made sense for us because our company is now able to capture information from documents."

Cons
"Initial setup can be quite complex.""As we experienced some difficulties in the beginning, deployment took almost a month.""The only drawback is the time that it takes to have a complete set of workflows implemented on the Camunda platform.""I would like to see the forms engine available in the open-source version of this solution.""I would also like a very easy to use form builder.""The initial setup can be complex for business users.""Process interfaces between diagrams could be improved.""They have a migration plugin that can be used to migrate from one BPM to another BPM. It is in the beta stage since last year. If they can make it available in the market, it would be great. We are going to have a couple of migration projects for migrating from IBM BPM to Camunda, and this plugin would be useful. I have already discussed this with them two weeks ago and asked them to look into this and add it as a feature. We are expecting this plugin to be available in the next version. This is the only requirement we have at present. They keep on coming up with different features, which is helping us a lot. Its latest release that came out last month was awesome."

More Camunda Cons →

"There should be some reporting and dashboarding capabilities. I don't see such capabilities built into it. Sometimes, the leadership wants to understand the business cases that we want to automate. We face a lot of challenges to justify why we are using Newgen, and we need a way to present that to the leadership. If there is something out of the box and if we can get meaningful dashboards and reporting capabilities, it would be helpful.""At the system level, I would like to see things be much more flexible, especially for different document templates and introducing changes.""Newgen OmniFlow could improve by having more out-of-the-box integration modules. It would be beneficial to have an analytics model that is not currently present.""I would like to see more automated analytics built into the solution.""The development teams should be more agile and they need to have more team members.""In terms of stability, like every product it has its issues.""We had consistent issues of Newgen OmniFlow crashing. It's not compatible with bounce browsers like Chrome."
