AI improves incident response with quick auto response capability
I am using Bitdefender GravityZone XDR in my capacity as a CTO and a partner or reseller of Bitdefender I find that the auto-response capability is most valuable. It improves incident response times. I also appreciate the overall utilization of AI to enhance security posture. The product could…

Customization capabilities allow clients to autonomously deploy policies
There are a few areas where Trellix Endpoint Security ( /categories/endpoint-protection-platform-epp ) can improve. Firstly, the high CPU utilization when agents are installed can negatively impact client systems. Another issue is with end-users outside the network, where the agent handler sometimes fails to deploy the product properly. Improvements are needed in forensic analytics to detect specific vulnerabilities. It would also help if detection specifics were identified more quickly and the problem-solving process accelerated, especially to meet larger clients' expectations.

Pros

"I appreciate the overall utilization of AI to enhance security posture."
"The HyperDetect feature in GravityZone XDR is effective."
"I find that the auto-response capability is most valuable."
"It provides an in-depth analysis and gives recommendations, along with a historical search capability."
"The solution has an automatic patch management capability."
"I would rate GravityZone XDR more than nine out of ten."
"Scalability is pretty easy. It's easy to increase the capacity. You can just add on licenses to the existing license, and the duration of the license can be adjusted. For example, you've already bought a license for a year, and you want to add some more users. We can just add on licenses for the remaining period so that the entire organization can have the same expiry date. That makes renewal easier."
"It provides a robust defense against cybersecurity threats while offering user-friendly features like notifications and approval prompts."
"The solution is a reliable and mature product. Its reporting function is robust, and the user interface is easy to use. End users can create customized reports with detailed reporting for any computer and export them in PDF or other formats. This reporting capability is very robust."
"I have not faced any problems with scalability so far, but we are starting an upgrade or overhaul."
"Tech support is responsive. They're good, the very best."
"The most valuable features are the adaptive tech on McAfee."
"FireEye Endpoint Security is easy to use and lightweight compared to others."
"We have a cloud-based instance, so we can deploy all our configurations through the cloud. That's the beauty of FireEye."
"The package of protection that it provides is useful. It has antivirus, malware protection, VPN, and a whole bunch of other features."

Cons

"The product could be improved by offering a single panel for the management of all Bitdefender products. Additionally, there might be a need to simplify the interface in the future."
"It's not very mature, and additional costs are involved."
"The solution’s pricing could be improved."
"Another area of improvement is CPU utilization. CPU utilization could be improved."
"The resource consumption is high for Bitdefender GravityZone XDR, nearly using one gigabyte of RAM, especially on Windows 10 and 11."
"The product could be improved by offering a single panel for the management of all Bitdefender products."
"The resource consumption is high for Bitdefender GravityZone XDR, nearly using one gigabyte of RAM, especially on Windows 10 and 11."
"The performance could be better. I noticed that it slows down a bit."
"I would like to see more local integration for the applications that we use."
"It would be a lot easier if I could add multiple user accounts within a single device."
"The main area for improvement is the integration with Microsoft Windows Hello, which includes Face ID or fingerprint-based authentication. Currently, they don't support either, so users have to type in the username and password."
"There is room to improve with scalability."
"We experienced some bad behavior when we first installed the product. The system also starts slowly in some instances. If for some reason this solution crashes, we could lose all our data."
"The agent is very heavy, so we have to ensure that we have a lightweight agent for Windows systems."
"The endpoint has room for improvement because it's restrictive, it's very sensitive. Sometimes it can delete something that you need and so sometimes you have to disable the antivirus."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a six out of ten."
"It's not the price of the software itself that makes it expensive. It's because you have to buy a VM; you have to buy additional hardware. All those things make it slightly costlier."
"We pay for the license on an annual basis."
"The pricing is mid-ranged and quite reasonable compared to other similar products."
"The solution is not an expensive tool. Compared to other options, it's mostly average-priced. I've deployed it for customers ranging from 100 nodes to over 5,000 nodes. Its renewal prices are very low, and it offers both perpetual and subscription licenses. With a perpetual license, the product will keep working as long as it's not end-of-life, which benefits companies."
"It was an annual fee. There was just one overall fee."
"Pricing is fair."
"This product is costly."
"It provides good value by striking a balance between cost-effectiveness and feature richness."
"Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) has a reasonable price."
