Delivers lightweight protection while facing challenges with technical aspects
I have been working with Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security for quite a long time, but recently, I do not appreciate their changes, especially on the technical side. They moved some portions to remote GUI-based interfaces. The Command Line Interface (CLI) is not improving. Even experienced personnel are finding it difficult. There is a power user function where you can stop it temporarily for installing applications. Previously, we had the option to click on the power user button and enter the password to allow stopping that particular function. Now, we have to do it via CLI, which even technical personnel struggle to understand. Currently, everything is working fine except for the technical aspects we can control. If they can revert to the old system, that would be much better. When we raise this issue with Bitdefender, they cite security reasons for the change. However, while Cisco is moving away from CLI to GUI, Bitdefender is moving backward. Normal users cannot handle these CLI operations effectively.

Though support needs improvement, the tool is easy to maintain and scale up
Veritas Desktop and Laptop Option's server and GUI are of an old style that could be improved. In the solution, the number of errors we have are not so intuitive to fix, because of which an older person like me needs to be here, making it the last and worst thing of the solution. The support team of the product lacks skills and needs improvement. I would have mentioned that Veritas needs to make their solution available in the cloud, but I am sure they already have it.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The fact that it is almost plug and play means the policies I have to define are not very complicated."
"It is perfectly stable. We haven't received any complaints from customers regarding stability or performance. It's been smooth sailing so far."
"The product offers an opportunity to monitor the things happening in our network. It also has a comprehensive dashboard."
"The cloud console is good and the tool is effective in protection."
"Security for malware and threats is the most valuable feature."
"The tool has a firewall module to control traffic. It also has a feature to map incidents and provide information about attackers and the environment."
"Protection is the most valuable feature."
"We use patch management to keep our software up-to-date, significantly mitigating our risk of vulnerabilities. We're confident that Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security will either already know about new threats and have updated our machines, or they'll advise us quickly on mitigating them until an update is available."
"The solution provides an easy GUI allowing you to use it as a backup and restore your computer whenever you want, following administrator rules."

Cons

"The solution's stability could be better."
"They've got all this training that's available, but it involves stuff that doesn't really encompass the solution as a whole."
"The dashboard can be improved."
"There is room for improvement in CPU utilization."
"Machines with low memory and CPU may experience slow performance."
"I think it would be helpful if I could get a live console directly on the machine. Additionally, if I could run scripts on the machines to respond to any incidents, that would be a great feature."
"The phishing feature report showed zero results, and the patch management component is one of the two main issues that need improvement."
"The firewall capabilities could benefit from an upgrade since it lacks a high level of granularity and control."
"The support team of the product lacks skills and needs improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price is fair."
"Its price has gone up since our last renewal. My renewal fee has gone from $517.99 in 2018 for 3 years to $739.99 when it renews this year in July. I love the product, but a price increase of over 40% is a bit exorbitant."
"The product's pricing is okay and it is yearly."
"The tool's pricing structure is good. We use an annual subscription."
"The pricing is reasonable when I compare it to other security solutions, particularly Kaspersky, it stands out. It offers an excellent solution at a more favorable price point."
"In terms of the licensing costs associated with Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security, the agreement was made nearly three years ago, but from what I recall, the figure was around €6,000 to €7,000 for three years, including support for two hundred endpoints."
"We purchase the solution for three or five-year intervals. We paid approximately $150 for 10 to 15 users."
"The solution is reasonable and is nominally priced in accordance with the features that offer to the market."
