Network automation has reduced troubleshooting time and supports faster issue resolution
The biggest and best feature I have experienced with Auvik Network Management (ANM) is automatic network discovery, along with features such as topology map, instant alerts, real-time monitoring, easy remote access, and simple dashboards. Among those features, I find automatic network discovery to be the most useful because it gives a clear picture of the entire network without having to create manual diagrams. It is very easy to use Auvik Network Management (ANM), so even a new team member can quickly understand the network because everything is displayed in a very clear way. Auvik Network Management (ANM) has positively impacted our organization by reducing troubleshooting time, improving network visibility, providing a very clear picture, and helping us support multiple client networks and environments very efficiently. We have noticed a 35 to 40% improvement in troubleshooting speed, less manual work in documenting any network system, faster responses to network issues, and better uptime with the client networks.

Monitoring has provided factual end‑to‑end insights and supports proactive incident response
From using HPE Aruba Networking UXI, I have access to real numbers for latency, packet drops, and other metrics. We also have a pretty intensive alerting mechanism that works on specific IPs for all our sites that are pinging, so if they are not reachable, we will have an alert and an incident created. I assess the value of HPE Aruba Networking UXI's application visibility in enhancing network performance as great. HPE Aruba Networking UXI's remote troubleshooting capabilities help me manage my distributed networks in a great way because we are not relying on user input. We are relying on real facts from HPE Aruba Networking UXI devices that are placed end-of-line on all our factories.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most advantageous feature is the ability to back up the configuration settings on switches and routers."
"Auvik seamlessly integrates with our ticketing system ConnectWise, which provides a basic alert via email. I also like how it automatically draws the network map and how you can easily filter by the alerts. If you click on the type of alert, it'll show you all the other alerts of that same type."
"Auvik's reliability is impressive."
"I appreciate the automatization of the dashboard monitoring, the automatic mapping of the network, and the easy deployment of the service."
"Auvik is easy to use. It took some time to set it up, and they were pretty good to us. They offered us around six sessions with a technician to help us set up the monitors we wanted. After we were trained properly, I had no issues using it."
"Auvik is a fantastic network monitoring tool that does everything PRTG does, plus all the things that SolarWinds and CM did."
"The automated, out-of-the-box device configuration backup capability is one of the key features for me in Auvik. To manage a network, one of my key requirements is to be able to rebuild that network if something catastrophic happens. Having up-to-date backups is a must, and this is a tool that I count on to get that right, and it has always performed as I expect."
"The appeal lies in the unified dashboard, providing a single view encompassing all aspects of my network."
"The most valuable feature of HP Aruba Networking UX-I is its 24/7 monitoring capability."
"There was definitely an ROI with the use cases I have had; when you see that the network issues and trouble tickets that are opening start to decrease, that is where your ROI starts coming in regarding productivity."
"Aruba products have significantly improved our network reliability, as none of my teammates have logged a call to Aruba in the past year."
"HPE Aruba Networking UXI's remote troubleshooting capabilities help me manage my distributed networks in a great way because we are not relying on user input and are relying on real facts from HPE Aruba Networking UXI devices that are placed end-of-line on all our factories."
"The performance, elasticity, and efficiency of Aruba products have been exceptional."
"The integration of HPE Aruba Networking UXI with other security and networking tools is quite robust, allowing us to collect information from firewalls, routers, access points, and more, and present it through Grafana to proactively address issues before clients open support tickets."

Cons

"I've had some issues where the solution repeatedly discovers a device I don't want to manage and alerts me about it. This is probably me not using the tool correctly, or it could be Auvik recognizing the device in different ways."
"There's room for improvement in the interface."
"It requires a lot of hands-on maintenance when it comes to cleanup. That's probably the biggest problem I've had, because I don't have a dedicated resource to manually clean up stale records. I have a customer where it shows 4,000 devices because of the duplication of devices that I have to clean up."
"There are spots in the interface that could use a little more work as it is congested with a lot of information in one spot."
"In terms of the dashboard, maybe seeing on the map, for example, if you have an access point that's connected to switch one, and the access point you do not have credentials for, that could help us make management a bit easier."
"I did not have the chance to go through all the aspects or services that Auvik Network Management provides, but what I dealt with was good, and there was not much to complain about. However, its pricing was a little bit higher."
"We use a service called Tailscale, a peer-to-peer private networking tool. My biggest issue with Auvik was getting it to scan devices across the Tailscale network. I suspect it's not supported there. That would be a valuable extension for us."
"It uses SNMP in its discovery process and how it pulls in data. But today it doesn't have an SNMP trap facility so you can't have your infrastructure devices push alerts into Auvik. And that for us would be a big feature that we would like to see."
"Some manual administrative tasks still need to be triggered manually, leading to lower efficiency."
"They could improve their services."
"Areas where the HPE Aruba Networking UXI can improve include the integration of SD-WAN and security in a single solution."
"It would be beneficial if the tool offered a less expensive subscription as it is currently costly for our clients."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool's pricing is reasonable."
"Auvik is fairly priced. The cost is what we expected considering network management. The benefits outweigh the cost for us."
"Another reason that we picked Auvik was that its pricing is very good. The only non-open-source solution that had better pricing was PRTG, but Auvik had it beat in ease of use. All-around, Auvik has a really great price for the market."
"It's absolutely worth the money. I would probably charge more if I were them. They don't charge you for anything that's not a router, switch, or firewall controller, or a network device. So, you can throw anything like servers and ESX hosts."
"The price of Auvik is okay. It is appropriate for the market."
"The pricing is good, but I haven't looked at the pricing in a while. So, I don't know if it has changed or not. As far as I know, the pricing is still where it should be. I have no issues with it."
"Auvik offers two publicly available pricing tiers, but there are also additional options that require contacting a sales representative."
"Auvik's pricing falls within an acceptable range for us."
