Easy to use, reliable, and simple to expand
We have used the same version for two years, however, now there's a new version, which solves a lot of problems. The solution we use that's from two years ago, has the ARIS Connect Server, the web application, and the ARIS client application. Some things you have to do in the clients, and you can't do them in the web environment. In the new version, though it's not installed by us, it's changed. You can do this. You can do almost everything in the web client. The difficulty that you have with switching between the two environments is solved in the new version. However, I haven't tested it yet. That said, that was one of the issues we had. It's a bit annoying that you have to use two environments in the older version.

Accommodates diverse use cases and effectively meets customer requirements
AI agents need further improvements. AI agent technology in agentic process automation is still evolving. We have only scratched the surface, and there are many potential use cases yet to be explored. As technology advances, I believe it will enable us to implement more comprehensive automation solutions. Document Automation has issues related to speed. When I compare Document Automation with IQ Bot, IQ Bot is faster than Document Automation. My understanding is that they are still evolving Document Automation, and this issue of slowness will be resolved in the upcoming .35 version, so we are good with that. They are working on signature identification and validations for handwritten documents. Currently, we are able to extract data out of scanned but digital images, but there is still scope for improvement for handwritten documents.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It's a very easy-to-use product."
"Ability to use all the features that your catalog has inside the modeling and export it to a BPM augmentation engine."
"They offer a variety of documentation, user manuals, and community forums for users to seek assistance and share experiences."
"Using this solution we can design our own processor governance, assign some specific technical services, and also run tests of the process to make sure it operates as we need it to."
"Automation Anywhere's document automation, powered by IQ Bots and now enhanced with AI, stands out as a particularly valuable feature."
"Object Cloning is the most valuable feature I have found for automating a website or a process that includes multiple mouse clicks."
"Even as we were getting into RPA for the first time, I found it easy to understand this tool."
"Ease of use is one thing that definitely first comes to mind when I think of Automation Anywhere. The tools are built in a fairly straightforward way. The documentation is really good and a Knowledge Base is available on every topic."
"Our development time has been reduced because the solution is very user-friendly."
"This most valuable features of this solution are the drag-and-drop interface, and it is easy to code."
"We are working with one of the bots where we send claims through WhatsApp. Any user could take a photo in WhatsApp, then send that data to the organization. Now, whenever a photo is takes, different phones have different primary resolutions, and the data being captured is not clear data. At that moment, the data is automated to a very power system which centralizes the process to one point. This is what we are using for the insurance provider. They fill out the claims form and send this information to the organization, then we use automation tools to automate the process and come to a conclusion."
"Notifications and triggers are especially good."

Cons

"I recognize the product has areas for potential improvement similar to every tool."
"The solution uses a coding language for process design that is specific only to this product. We would like to see this changed to something more universal."
"There is a lot of complexity around licensing."
"It's a bit annoying that you have to use two environments in the older version."
"Automation Anywhere should make it easier for developers to manage queues and exception handling. The OCR component could also be better. We have had to use other OCR tools to get information from the account documents."
"Built-in HTML features are lagging in this solution, whereas in UiPath, they are very good."
"Sometimes the tool is timing out, which would be a good thing to have resolved."
"I would like to see more stability around scheduling a bot to run headless."
"The bot creation process is tedious. The solution has a lot of features, but since you have to drag down a lot of the commands, it can get tedious to use it. You end up having to use the mouse a lot more."
"One way Automation Anywhere can be improved is in ticketing."
"We face issues when we need to increase volumes. Currently, it is failing for some reason, and we don't know the reason. It fails or stops, then we need to see what is going on. We have to fix that, then our developers need to rerun it. These are mostly practical challenges for our team who uses it on daily basis."
"I would like to have the ability to schedule bots by whichever one is available."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"It depends. For example, for my group, we are centralizing the infrastructure in Paris. Our contract is signed with Automation Anywhere in France. The currency and the pricing of Automation Anywhere in France can appear beneficial and interesting for Germany and Scandinavian countries, but when we share our infra and are internally charging other countries such as Poland, Brazil, or some other country with a lower currency value as compared to Euro, it becomes less beneficial. They would prefer to sign the contract directly with Automation Anywhere because they will benefit from a price that is as per their local market."
"I would rate the cost an eight out of ten, with ten being the highest cost."
"I am using that Automation Anywhere Master Certification for version 11. Recently, this has been updated in Automation Anywhere University. Until this month, it's free to use. There are no charges. That's why I would like to complete it this month."
"We have seen about a 10 percent monetary savings."
"Automation Anywhere pricing and licensing are competitive compared to the other automation vendors."
"Although the initial implementation cost of Automation Anywhere is relatively high compared to other options, its annual subscription cost is lower than UiPath's, which has the opposite pricing structure."
"Automation Anywhere University is pretty good. They make it available free for everyone."
"It's very good in terms of cost and pricing."
