Real-time threat detection has improved with comprehensive asset scanning
The threat intelligence feature is expected to be a significant advantage. However, a section for software inventory and real-time comparison with current CVEs would be beneficial. One can review an inventory of assets being scanned, including a software inventory along with CVE updates based on a company's software subscriptions, would be a game changer.

Helps improve cybersecurity with comprehensive reporting and analytics
While IBM Managed Security Services have proven to be highly effective, one area that could be improved is the user interface and overall user experience. Although the software's functionality is robust, a more intuitive and user-friendly interface would enhance the efficiency of security operations and reduce the learning curve for new users. Additionally, in the next release, it would be beneficial to include more automated response capabilities. Integration with AI-driven automation and orchestration tools could help streamline incident response processes further, allowing for faster and more precise remediation actions. Moreover, incorporating enhanced threat intelligence feeds and machine learning algorithms to bolster the system's ability to detect emerging threats would be a valuable addition. These improvements would further solidify the software's position as a top-tier managed security service, providing organizations with even greater protection against ever-evolving cyber threats.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"After an easy onboarding, the monitoring started immediately."
"The solution works well for our team as it offers a hands-off approach, which we need."
"Whenever there is a major thing like Exchange vulnerabilities, it scans our Exchange server for indicators of compromise. It then alerts us and points exactly where we need to go to check for ourselves if it is normal or not."
"The integration between Cisco AMPs and the Windows servers is most valuable. So, they can also sandbox machines on which they see something suspicious."
"I highly recommend Arctic Wolf as they excel in ensuring the company is well-trained and updated on industry developments."
"Arctic Wolf is our eyes and ears 24/7 because we can't possibly watch all of our alerts. We may see all of these alerts, but our attention is distracted because we're working on other things."
"The product provides integrations with several different SaaS applications."
"Security protection is the best feature of this product."
"Collaborating with IBM's experts has fine-tuned our security processes and incident response capabilities."

Cons

"We need an easier way to audit and act on agents."
"In the future, I would like to see a summary report."
"The implementation process could be a little more streamlined."
"While they do inventory assets, including software inventory and CVE updates based on software subscriptions, would be a major improvement."
"The only frustrating aspect is the lack of support for Windows on ARM devices. We cannot fully secure these devices until they release an updated version of their agent software."
"I can't think of any specific features that they need to add at the moment. As long as they continue to develop new solutions to support different operating systems and technologies, we are satisfied with their service. We appreciate the effort they put into adding new features and functionality to their service and believe they are doing a great job in providing us with all the necessary tools and resources to stay secure."
"We get a lot of false alarms, but that's because they don't know our network in detail. I think that could be alleviated if we told them more about our network so they could create rules to skip some of those things."
"It's nitpicky; however, if it could integrate with more of our products, like our CRM, that would be ideal. They may only integrate with Salesforce. We use a different mid-market CRM."
"While IBM Managed Security Services have proven to be highly effective, one area that could be improved is the user interface and overall user experience."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I find their pricing to be reasonable and competitive."
"The pricing is pretty competitive."
"The pricing is fair."
"I rate the tool's pricing a nine out of ten."
"It is more expensive than CrowdStrike, but it also has more features. I don't remember the amount, but I do remember that it was on the higher side. I believe we have five sensors, and the sensors have a yearly cost. We don't have any additional costs, but I know that if we have more features, they will add to the cost."
