It has JMeter integration which provides visualizations during tests and instrumentation of each agent.
It has a strong reporting and dashboard mechanism. Reporting and metric management are so important in our company that we get value from the reporting functionality of the product. It has Jmeter integration that provides visualization during test and instrumentation of each agent so you do not need to pay extra for a licensed performance test tool.

Regarding integration with various development tools, I can provide examples, and I am using customizable dashboards in OpenText ALM _ Quality Center, which definitely help identify project bottlenecks. As for the scalability of OpenText ALM _ Quality Center, there are limitations, particularly in agile methodologies, which is currently my main concern.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It has a strong reporting and dashboard mechanism."
"It gave us control over the development of requirements and tests needed for the bank's transition from bespoke back-end systems to an Oracle banking system."
"I highly recommend HPE Quality Center for its simplicity and ease of use whereby Business and Technical teams can see each other's progress and help make better decisions."
"The execution module and the test planning module are definitely the most valuable features. The rest we use for traceability, but those are the two modules that I cannot live without."
"Life was made easy by shifting the MS Office documentation to the product."
"Lab Management is a valuable feature, because you have a 360 view."
"The report feature has helped me to generate a quality index report which is a critical report for management decisions."
"HPE ALM is a relevant product that assists with test delivery, execution, and management within a project-driven environment."
"ALM/Quality Center is expensive, but it has its value and, in certain cases, the Enterprise edition is way too much, but it is very stable and reliable."

Cons

"It is a client application, and should have web GUI because the installation and upgrade process is a little bit difficult."
"Overall the user experience of HP ALM is very good, there are some small improvements which can help those who are doing defect triage and management, and also the actual testers who use a test lab."
"HPE has failed desperately to offer a competitive enterprise for new customers in this market."
"The defect module, while fundamental and more or less consistent over numerous versions, is an area we would like to see improved regarding how response time is measured in the standard application."
"Full product is very complex plus the licensing left much to be improved."
"An area for improvement in Micro Focus ALM Quality Center is not being able to update the Excel sheet where I wrote the test cases. Whenever I update some test cases, I'm unsuccessful because there is overlapping data or missing cases from the sheet."
"It has a very large footprint, and takes an inordinate amount of time to load the components and seems to need to do this quite frequently."
"There's room for improvement in the requirements traceability with Micro Focus ALM Quality Center. That could use an uplift."
"Micro Focus ALM Quality Center could improve how the automation process works. Addiotnlally, the parallel execution needs to be optimized. For example, if multiple users, which are two or more users, are doing an execution, while we execute the cases, I have seen some issues in the progress."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"HPE has one of the most rigid, inflexible, and super expensive license models."
"The solution has the ability to handle a large number of projects and users in an enterprise environment with the correct license."
"Micro Focus ALM Quality Center is very expensive. The price is approximately £2,000 per person, they are too expensive to corner the market."
"It has several limitations in adapting its agility easily."
"For pricing, I recommend to buy a bundled package. Check the HPE site for more details."
"ALM Quality Center is a little bit costly."
"I feel that the licenses are expensive. "
"Most vendors offer the same pricing, though some vendors offer a cheaper price for their cloud/SaaS solution versus their on-premise. However, cloud/SaaS solutions result in a loss of freedom. E.g., if you want to make a change, most of the time it needs to be validated by the vendor, then you're being charged an addition fee. Sometimes, even if you are rejected, you are charged because it's a risk to the entire environment."
