Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature of Amazon Augmented AI is its automation capability."
"The most valuable feature of Amazon Augmented AI is its automation capability."
"It's a great option if you are fairly new and don't want to write too much code."
"Their web interface is good."
"It has helped in reducing the time involved for coding using R and/or Python."
"Split dataset, variety of algorithms, visualizing the data, and drag and drop capability are the features I appreciate most."
"Machine Learning Studio is easy to use, with a significant feature being the drag and drop interface that enhances workflow without any complaints."
"The solution is integrated with our Microsoft Azure tenant, and we don't have to go anywhere else outside the tenant."
"The interface is very intuitive."
"I like being able to compare results across different training runs. The hyperparameter tuning function is a valuable feature because it provides the ability to run multiple experiments at the same time and compare results."

Cons

"There needs to be continuous monitoring and improvement, especially regarding security issues, to address threats from hackers."
"The development support, costing twenty-nine dollars per month, is almost ineffective, with long email response times."
"It would be nice if the product offered more accessibility in general."
"The AutoML feature is very basic and they should improve it by using a more robust algorithm."
"It is not easy. It is a complex solution. It takes some time to get exposed to all the concepts. We're trying to have a CI/CD pipeline to deploy a machine learning model using negative actions. It was not easy. The components that we're using might have something to do with this."
"Microsoft should also include more examples and tutorials for using this product."
"In future releases, I would like to see better integration with Power BI within Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio."
"Improvement in integration is crucial, and it'll be interesting to see how it develops, especially with SAP's move towards cloud-based solutions like SAP Rise and its collaboration with hyper scalers like AWS. Integrating SAP with hyperscaler machine learning solutions could simplify operations, although SAP's environment is complex. SAP has initiated deals with AWS for this purpose, but I'm not as familiar with Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio's involvement."
"I cannot comment on specific improvements yet as we are still exploring and need more time to identify the areas that require enhancements."
"In the Machine Learning Studio, particularly the Designer part, which is essentially Azure's demo designer, there is room for improvement. Many customers and users tend to switch to Microsoft Azure Multi-Joiners, which is a more basic version, but they do so internally. One area that could use enhancement is the process of connecting components. Currently, every time you want to connect a component, such as linking it to your storage or an instance like EC2, you have to input your username and password repeatedly. This can be quite cumbersome. Google, for instance, has made it more user-friendly by allowing easy access for connecting services within a workspace. In a workspace, you can set up various resources like storage, a database cluster, machine learning studio, and more. When connecting these services, there's no need to enter your username and password each time, making it a more efficient process. Another aspect to consider is the role of the designer, and they were to integrate a large language model to handle various tasks, it could significantly enhance the overall scalability and usability of the platform."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"From a developer's perspective, I find the price of this solution high."
"In terms of pricing, for any cloud solution, you should know the tricks of the trade and how to use it, otherwise, you'll end up paying a lot of money irrespective of the cloud provider, so at least for Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio pricing versus AWS, I would rate it three out of five, with one being the most expensive, and five being the cheapest. It could be cheaper, but you also have to be careful when choosing the plans, for example, consider the architecture and a lot of other factors before choosing your plan, if you don't want to end up paying more. If your cloud provider has an optimizer that seems to be available in every provider, that would keep alerting you in terms of resources not being used as much, then that would help you with budgeting."
"I used the free student license for a few months to operate the solution, but I'll have to pay for it if I want to do more now."
"The platform's price is low."
"It is less expensive than one of its competitors."
"When we got our first models and were ready for the user acceptance testing, our licensing fees were between €2,500 ($2,750 USD) and €3,000 ($3,300 USD) monthly."
"The pricing for Microsoft products can be complex due to changes and being cloud-based, so it's not straightforward. I've been familiar with it for years, but sometimes details about product licenses and distribution can be unclear. For Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio specifically, I would rate the price a six out of ten."
"The product's pricing is reasonable."
