User-friendly, quick implementation, and effortless database creation
The interfaces provided by the company have certainly undergone significant improvements since their earlier versions. The growth and progress have been remarkable. I have personally shared numerous feedback points and observed the prompt implementation of changes within a few months, which is highly commendable. However, I must admit that I have encountered several challenges with their interfaces. In terms of the interface, there are certain improvements I would suggest. For instance, a global search feature is currently absent, which would greatly enhance usability. Additionally, incorporating a search function within automation would be highly beneficial. The current limitation of fifty automation per base is insufficient for our needs and could be expanded. Moreover, there is a need for a longer native time delay in automation to allow for more flexible syncing. Currently, the syncing time is set at approximately three to five minutes, which could be increased for smoother operations.

A solution that gives you all the information you need to plan detailed projects
The initial setup was just a little complex. I rate the initial setup a seven out of ten. Deploying the solution took two weeks. While deploying the solution, we had two instances, one for the IT team and one for the business team. And we had to connect the two and explain things to the team. Only two people were needed to deploy the solution, me and another person.

"I appreciated the ability to configure a graphical interface for a database, which was quite novel at the time."
"Airtable has really benefited us in document storage."
"I am impressed with the tool's continuous improvement. Every six months we get to see a completely different product. You can build a new product using no-code applications. We are able to scale up with the product."
"I am impressed with the product's user interface and integrations. It helps me to ship products very fast."
"The scripting extension enhances the things that you can do with Airtable."
"It is easy to design workflows with, and we don't have to spend tons of money on somebody to write codes."
"Airtable stands out for its exceptional user-friendliness, making it accessible to users of all skill levels. Its intuitive navigation ensures a smooth experience, allowing users to easily explore and comprehend its functionalities. Moreover, Airtable offers powerful automation capabilities that enhance efficiency. One particularly advantageous aspect is the seamless linking of databases, enabling the effortless creation of relational databases. Overall, this feature has proven to be immensely valuable and has been the primary focus of my usage."
"Our reporting is much better. There is much more visibility on projects, schedules, tasks, and in our milestones. Now, we have a consistent way of reporting out to the committees and getting all of our schedules and milestones."
"With the lifecycles, it helps us step through our processes easier. We'll take a process and create it in Visio, then we'll go and implemented in Planview. Anytime that we have to do a new process, this is what we use. We just step it through the lifecycles and the configure screens are very easy to use. The fields that you need are easy to use."
"The data is the most valuable because the reporting that we provide out of Planview is priceless when compared to any other tool. The reporting has a variety of reports. It has the capabilities of Power BI. It gives us all these dashboards that we can show to our executive leadership, and they have been very well-received."
"The most valuable feature for me is the ease and customizability of reporting."
"It gives us the vast ability to churn out-of-the-box reports and have an overview about approach rates and resource utilization."
"Its ability to create summary reports across multiple projects is one of the best features. They have very good data warehousing. You can put that out. You can tell that data warehousing from Planview Enterprise One is excellent."
"The integration stuff from tool to tool, like Projectplace to Planview, to manage projects is the most valuable feature. It keeps all our tasks up-to-date. It closely follows up with everything, which is really cool."
"The sheer amount of information available in one single interface is valuable. Everything is there. It is also a lot of work to maintain all the information, but generally, you can find everything you need within this one tool."

Cons

"They should allow us to duplicate the data to share it with others."
"Airtable needs improvement with the loading speed. It takes a lot of time to load."
"The interfaces provided by the company have certainly undergone significant improvements since their earlier versions. The growth and progress have been remarkable. I have personally shared numerous feedback points and observed the prompt implementation of changes within a few months, which is highly commendable. However, I must admit that I have encountered several challenges with their interfaces."
"Reporting, specifically anything involving exports, could be improved."
"I believe that the company I worked for did not utilize it to its full potential."
"The cost structure of Airtable presents a challenge. When you invite a user, you have to pay for that user."
"The product's AI feature needs improvement."
"The product is slow when I try to add data to a table using API. There is also a limit on the databases."
"When we first deployed, there were some issues. We never got to the root cause of why they happened. Since we didn't have any history with it, we weren't quite sure if this was a standard operating procedure or it truly was a glitch."
"It is a bit of a rigid system."
"The content management definitely needs to improve. We don't really use content management for projects inside Enterprise One. We have actually switched to a SharePoint site. We have a feed from Enterprise One every night of all the projects that are created."
"I would like to be able to copy and paste from Excel into work and assignments along with roles and hours, as opposed to having to type it out one by one."
"Their off-shore support is something new that they're laying out and the team just needed some development in terms of skill and experience."
"We are not very happy with the customer service. This is one of our main pain points. It doesn't cover the entirety of customer service, as there are reps who are really great and we've had good experiences. Many times, we've had people give us attitude, there was a delay in the response, or just a lack of interest. This got to the point where if there was a problem, we would rather try to solve it ourselves then call customer support."
"One big issue we have been having during our annual planning is that only the creator of a portfolio can edit it. This means that only the creator of a portfolio can edit which projects are included or excluded in it."
"One of the reasons why we've upgraded so many times is because of performance standards. We've just run into issues where we've had performance problems. Maybe they are not upgrading, but they're adding more horsepower. Then, we do go upgrade and lose that horsepower, which is frustrating from my perspective as an admin to lose that horsepower. Hopefully, that'll change."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product's price is good."
"Airtable's pricing depends on the plan that you're on."
"The product is a little bit expensive."
"The tool's pricing is based on the number of users. The product's pricing is okay for personal use. For large organizations, pricing can be a pain. As per the first-rate plan, you need to pay 10 USD per user. The next plan would cost you 20 USD per user. If you are looking for enterprise-type plans, then you need to contact the sales team."
"The product's price is good."
"We are utilizing the free version of the software, which adequately meets most of our requirements. As we explore the higher-end versions, we have noticed that the primary distinctions lie in the number of records and usage limitations. However, the free version offers comprehensive functionality, and the disparity between the free and paid versions is minimal, with only a few minor differences."
"For basic usage, Airtable is an open-source tool but if you need premium features like script automation, then you need to pay for it. As my clients provide me access after buying the subscription I do not have much knowledge about pricing."
"The product would be expensive for customers with only one application or database."
"With the costs, they were very understanding. Knowing that we were an existing customer, they were very much willing to work with us to make sure that we were able to transition to Enterprise One from PPM Pro."
"Our licensing costs are probably $150,000 to $180,000 a year with 270 licenses total."
"Our licensing fees are approximately $50,000 USD annually."
"Our licensing costs are about a quarter of a million dollars per year."
"I think all in we are at $33,000 a year and that includes Projectplace and Planview. We used to have the integration to JIRA, but we don't pay for that anymore."
"In the time that I've used it, we've doubled up the amount of dollars on our intended projects."
"We have portfolio managers, resource managers, project managers, and time reporting licenses. These are the licenses that we have."
"We overbought our licenses. We looked at our needs three to four years down the road and tried based our contract on that. However, we were over aggressive. We use about a third of the licenses that we have. We're looking to adjust the makeup so we can start utilizing the amount of money that we are spending. Right now, we're overspending, and my organization is not seeing the value in Planview because we are paying so much for licenses that we're not using."
