Adobe is currently working on some things. There are two types of composers. There's a visual composer, and then you have a code-based form composer where you can set up your experience. The user interface for the form-based composer is slow, and the loading time is not optimized. Optimization is needed for the tool as the requirements are rapid, and the client asks to implement the solution in a week or so. Secondly, there is a need for integrations because when you have data coming from Adobe Target, you might want to put it into some visualization tools. Currently, we can use a component called A4T in Adobe Analytics to import the data directly. We can put the data in Adobe Analytics, but it needs some connectors or APIs to Adobe Target through which we can connect it to multiple platforms. This could be very feasible and handy if I want to visualize the data in Power BI or other tools. These kinds of things and optimization are needed for Adobe Target to become the number one tool for personalization.

Struggles with handwritten document accuracy and cost concerns persist

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable features in Target are creating activities, rules, extensions, and workspaces for data analysis."
"With the solution's personalization, we can recommend to users the relevant products they are searching for."
"Adobe Target has built-in functionalities that make it easy to make dynamic changes. Whether adjusting colours or adding or removing elements, we can do it all with just a few clicks on theplatform based on the conditions we set."
"Additionally, Adobe Target offers features like multi-variation testing, automated personalization, and recommendations, which are particularly beneficial for e-commerce websites. Integration with other Adobe tools like AEM and Adobe Audience Manager further enhances its capabilities in audience segmentation and analytics for retargeting strategies."
"With Adobe Target, I can replace existing content with new or enhanced content, such as pop-ups, banners, or buttons. AB testing functionality in Adobe Target helps us gradually introduce potential offers or content variations to a portion of our audience. We monitor the interactions and gradually increase the exposure if the results are positive."
"It's very well-working and has never failed me. It's easy to install."
"The main concept I like in Adobe Target is creating segments."
"It allows for quick implementation of out-of-the-box features based on segments or geolocation, enhancing our ability to personalize customer experiences effectively."
"Amazon Textract was easy to use."

Cons

"We have some bugs. For example, suppose I'm creating the activity because of all the activities we create. In that case, we have to get the data from user interaction and understand how this activity was performed. In some rare scenarios, we couldn't capture the data after the activity was published in production because of some issues on Adobe Target's end."
"The user interface for the form-based composer is slow, and the loading time is not optimized."
"Adobe Target can improve its reporting and dashboard creation."
"There's room for improvement in Adobe Target, especially when simultaneously implementing the same activity across multiple websites. Currently, we can only run one activity per page, which can be limiting. Also, running various activities concurrently or executing near-real-time use cases can be complex and challenging with Adobe Target."
"Adobe Target is an expensive solution."
"There are certain problems. Recommendations sometimes do not work when there are too many of them created. The Java script created inside the recommendation fails to load."
"The solution currently lacks more personalization through the server side."
"The product implementation on the client side has limitations compared to server-side deployments. It needs more control and reliability with server-side setups."
"The product has not given correct results for me. It was not accurate, especially with handwritten items and documents with pencil marks, which Amazon Textract failed to identify correctly."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"All Adobe products are a little bit on the higher side."
"The pricing of Adobe Target depends on the perspective. It can be deemed as fair from a business perspective but it might be expensive for individuals."
"There's no fixed price with Adobe; it depends on negotiations and business arrangements."
"The platform is quite expensive."
"The solution is expensive."
"The product is expensive."
"It has a high cost, so it is not a product that everyone can afford."
"The solution's pricing is reasonable."
