We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"What I found most valuable in 360 Safeguard is its VPN feature. I support remote sites, so I use a VPN.""I like that it's stable and easy to access.""The product's initial setup was very straightforward."

"If it can stop all the garbage from getting through, then it is definitely a time saver. It is more protecting our employees than anything. We just want to make sure that we can do everything that we can do to try and prevent people from clicking on bad stuff or having to deal with bad stuff. It is easier to prevent it from coming into the network.""Another good feature, related to geo-blocking, is the ability to specify exemptions. We discovered that some of our customers, even though they are located in Canada, have an Exchange Server sitting in Japan or in the Netherlands. It seems they have branches or their head office in other countries. Having this exception feature is helpful.""One of the most valuable features is that it's very straightforward. It's a really simple interface. With our previous products, you could spend a week, if not more, training on those products just to figure out the interface. With SpamTitan it took an hour or two or three, tops.""The encryption feature seems to be the most useful. We didn't have a convenient option for it previously, and having the capability to encrypt from within the message nearly seamlessly is a benefit to us.""The spam filtering is the most valuable part. When we first started using it, 15 years ago, there weren't many solutions that worked well, were user-friendly, and powerful.""We have had no cases of malware slipping through since we have had SpamTitan.""The granularity of the setup is most valuable. It has all the features we need from global settings to per-user settings. We are pretty happy with it.""We have absolutely seen ROI. The regained productivity hours that we were able to claim since we automated the email protection have been really good. Our team of three people has seen an increase in our productivity, by around 30%, since implementing SpamTitan."

Cons
"In 360 Safeguard, there is something called the menu or advanced menu support, a process that I find to be a little bit awkward.""It could be more secure and compatible with other software.""The web center in 360 Safeguard could be better, so this is its area for improvement. 360 Safeguard could be more scalable, especially for big businesses."

"The way it rates what is spam and what is not spam can be improved, although that is true with every system.""The stability of SpamTitan is equivalent to other email security solutions that I have previously used. Some of them have more bells and whistles that you can add. For example, inside the email subject line, you can put in the words encrypt secret, or secure. Then, it will automatically secure that email and send an email to the person who is supposed to receive it. They can identify it for themselves in a series of different Q&A questions. That is sometimes a deciding factor for clients.""If they had a little more documentation explaining how to use regex, or if they could include that inside of the cloud interface so that it generates regex code based on the parameters you input, that would be a lot more useful for people who aren't familiar with coding languages and HTML.""They need to keep up with the latest technology and add new features as they arise, e.g., artificial intelligence, new and improved updated lists, or new ways of tracking spam. They need to just keep up so the product is effective. Because, if all of a sudden viruses or spam starts getting through, then we might have to look at something else. However, so far, it has kept up and done a great job. So, we are happy.""The solution is very slow, it crashes and we have difficulties getting emails.""The interface is a little dated aesthetically. I know that's a small thing, but it could use a little bit of a facelift.""The inter mailbox email flow needs improvement. If you are in the same domain, it does not have the capability to transfer one email to the same domain through SpamTitan. They need an API for Office 365 which is currently being developed""There is no plugin for Outlook, which might be of an advantage so that you can just click on a link in Outlook that takes you right to your quarantine list. It doesn't have that at the moment."

  • "360 Safeguard is low-priced. It only costs $300."
  • More 360 Safeguard Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "The price of this solution is low. When you do purchase everything is included in the licensing cost."
  • "We are on a per-user or per-mailbox monthly subscription. We are happy with the price of the solution. When comparing it to other solutions it is much cheaper."
  • "The cluster was an additional cost. We had to get some more licenses to get to that level. It's well worth it because it means peace of mind for everyone."
  • "Compared to all of the others, including the solution we used previously, SpamTitan is cheaper."
  • "The price is good by today's standards. You actually get what you pay for."
  • "The price was great compared to other solutions that we looked at the time."
  • "Our pricing has pretty much stayed somewhat the same. Sure, there has been an increase or two that keeps up with inflation, but that is everybody. When we switched from AppRiver to SpamTitan, we saved about 20%. That is $1,000 to $2,000 a month. We went to SpamTitan and WebTitan. It was $1,000 savings a month for SpamTitan and another $1,500 a month savings for WebTitan."
  • "It is very good. We actually ended up saving money from our previous solution."

    Reviews from Real Users

The solution saves employees' time. Many of our faculty are physicians who don't have much time to check their emails, especially if they need to scroll through and delete spam mail, which can hide important messages. A cleaner inbox is easier to use and saves time, probably an hour a week per user. That might not sound like much, but we had physicians with inboxes so full of spam they stopped checking their emails, which is no longer the case. Our catch rate is up significantly, and our false positives have dropped considerably, saving the end user time.” - A PeerSpot user who is a DevOps Director at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics

“I can't tell you the number of times that their web interface has saved me. I had server issues but I still needed to be able to look at what emails I would have received if my email server had been working correctly. SpamTitan has a reporting functionality that showed me what emails would have been sent. I could actually see the content of those emails. For me, several times, that has been a real lifesaver.” - Walter H., An Enterprise Architect at Unified System Solutions, Ltd.

“Its algorithms are doing a very good job in terms of the false positive rate. We have some regular mail that gets caught and some spam mail that gets through, but they're just balancing the line between spam and regular mail. We do catch a lot of spam, the amount of spam on an average day ranges from 65-85%. The Link Lock also reduces the risk when clicking on a link in an email, it removes a lot of concern about harmful links.” - A PeerSpot user who is a Cloud & Infrastructure consultant at a tech services company.
