HPE Ethernet Switches Reviews

Our primary use case for HPE Ethernet Switches is in various business segments. I focus on the oil and gas segment, and I also work with private segment medium-sized organizations. My team handles small and medium businesses. Overall, we cover a range that includes small, medium, and large enterprises.

HPE Ethernet Switches are very much covered on the security front due to their ClearPass technology, which is exceptional. They are highly scalable and stable, which is vital for large enterprises that require reliable performance. Additionally, HPE Ethernet Switches offer a cost-saving advantage as they are approximately 40% cheaper than comparable Cisco solutions. The integration of the switches is very straightforward, making them an attractive choice for many organizations.

We are a customer of HPE Ethernet Switches. We are end users of these solutions. Approximately 500 users are using this solution in my organization.

It is a nice and robust tool where we use HPE Ethernet Switches. It is a lower switch, and we have received good warranty support with HPE switches.

The security features of the HPE Ethernet Switches are good. The UI mode is available, and we can easily configure the access list and SNMP. All these configurations can be done here. Users can enable the Layer 3 features.

Our primary use case for the switches is for a small business we run. It's mostly in the office, but we also have a plant where we run a lot of monitoring equipment.

There have been no significant improvements to our network performance as the switches we are using are quite old and we have not been able to take advantage of any new features.

Primarily, we use the product for network and VLAN segmentation across our hospitality property. It forms the backbone of our network, providing connectivity to devices like TVs, phones, access points, and even electrical switches within guest rooms.

The product's most valuable feature is the ease of configuration. It saves a lot of time.

So far, I've not faced any problem with the switches. Secondly, I can see HPE is providing frequent upgrades to address some security issues.

I can get some data about the traffic going through the switches and the performance of the switch through the application.

I like that we can monitor the switches 24/7, and we also get a couple of reports about the user or connected devices for prioritization and overall QoS prioritization. That's been useful to us.

At the moment, they really put more features in Aruba Central, so the subscription cost is a bit high, and we may need to bring it down.

We integrated with AI. In terms of troubleshooting, it automatically captures issues and tells us if there's a problem with Wireshark. It also gives us some suggestions on where the possible problem and error is occurring. That's all.

Price is an area for improvement. Cisco is very competitive on price, considering future business. HPE Ethernet Switches and Aruba need to think about their pricing. Aruba's price was 25 percent higher than Cisco's in a recent Central Bank project in Sri Lanka.

I have been using the product for 15-20 years. 

We use them for network traffic, web servers, and a variety of other things. They've been working very well for us. 

It has been very reliable for us compared to other Chinese products.

I'm a power user, so reliability is crucial. The HPE equipment hasn't failed on me, unlike some other brands like Huawei, which I find more sensitive. 

HPE is very rugged, and we haven't encountered any issues with them. It's a solid product.

The performance is good, but it definitely depends on the user and how they utilize the equipment. So, it relies heavily on the IT team. 

For our needs, it's good enough and sufficient. We have more availability and even additional nodes, so we haven't faced any issues.

The primary use case is LAN switching. Users connect to these switches to access other corporate resources.

We deployed them for LAN switching across the organization. They do quite well in terms of both functionality and configuration.

HPE switches have supported our data center connectivity and improved our office network operations.

They do quite well when it comes to switching. We also use their wireless products, but the integration between them can vary. However, the switching functionality and configuration are both very good. 

They facilitate easy connectivity between data centers and between data centers and campus networks. They are an integral part. 

It was very easy to integrate the HPE switches with our existing network infrastructure.
