Experience years of robust features and strong technical support
It is a nice and robust tool where we use HPE Ethernet Switches. It is a lower switch, and we have received good warranty support with HPE switches. The security features of the HPE Ethernet Switches are good. The UI mode is available, and we can easily configure the access list and SNMP. All these configurations can be done here. Users can enable the Layer 3 features.

Remote access enhances troubleshooting with potential for more intuitive interface
We are working with Citrix and router, but in Cisco for Cisco vendor only. We are taking from them since 2015.  The main use case involves some small business customers needing one router, one switch, and two to three access points. It is easy to handle the devices with just a small knowledge of…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I value that there is a clear place to find a MAC table with HPE Ethernet Switches."
"The solution performs well for its price."
"I'm a power user, so reliability is crucial. The HPE equipment hasn't failed on me, unlike some other brands like Huawei, which I find more sensitive."
"The solution is easy to set up and easy to use, unlike, for example, Cisco, which is more complex."
"Stable and scalable."
"They are affordable and very stable. They also have good performance."
"It's stable. We never have any issues."
"The solution can scale."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to access devices from anywhere in the world through the cloud."
"The performance is pretty good."
"Its cloud feature and cloud management are great. They are the most valuable aspects."
"The solution is scalable and can accommodate as many devices as needed."
"The most beneficial features of Meraki MS Switches are the visibility and convenience they provide."
"I have found the solution to be stable."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the interface because it is very simple and easy to learn, even for somebody who hasn't seen it before."
"It is easy to configure and claim the switches by their serial number directly from the portal."

Cons

"If there is any fluctuation in power then we will face an outage with our POE switches, so this is something that should be improved."
". There is room for improvement in pricing. One box shouldn't require additional installations. We need a package deal with licenses that are usable for different tasks. Right now, we need a license for every additional feature, which adds up."
"They should release more updates for the solution."
"The quality of the service needs improvement."
"The product could always use better technical support."
"Configuration can be complex."
"The technical support does not match up to the standard of Cisco."
"The installation can be quite complex. However, that may not be the fault of HP and is rather more related to the way our infrastructure is arranged."
"It could be more advanced and secure. Meraki MS Switches are ideal for a mid-sized enterprise. But you can't work with this appliance if you need more security or want to do complex or advanced things. Technical support could be better."
"The product demonstrates poor price per performance when compared with its competitors."
"The lead time for delivery can be a challenge, and there is room for improvement in this area."
"Meraki MS Switches do not offer as many features as their competitors, so we are quite limited in what we can configure on the switches and firewalls."
"It is not compliant with the requirements of specific industries that want to set it up within a particular region or country."
"The pricing of the solution can be improved."
"Sometimes the controller in the cloud that controls the access points does not have the most accurate information. There is sometimes a glitch in keeping the management controller that is in the cloud up to date."
"The scalability and integrative abilities with on-premises systems could stand improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We have to pay for a yearly license for HPE Ethernet Switches."
"Licensing fees are on a yearly basis."
"The price could be more competitive."
"The pricing is very good."
"HPE costs almost the same as Cisco."
"It would be great if certain features, like licensing, were included in the base price of the switches."
"This is an expensive product."
"HP switches are priced well."
"The tool is expensive."
"The pricing is high and it is where we get the most pushback from customers."
"It depends on what type of equipment you have and other things. We're about $17,000 a year."

"Extreme switches are more cost-effective than Cisco Meraki Switches."
"The price of Meraki MS Switches is high."
