Our clients are using Fortinet FortiADC primarily for load balancing, which serves as the application server load balancer. We have worked with one or two cases of Fortinet FortiADC. For application load balancer solutions, we prefer either A10, which is a leader product present in Gartner leader and Forrester leader, or Radware. We worked with a customer who was in the Fortinet environment, so we suggested Fortinet FortiADC, which helps integrate with FortiWeb, a WAF solution. For integration purposes, we implemented Fortinet FortiADC, and they had around four applications and 20 servers. We were able to do the load balancing based on the round robin method in that ADC, which was the use case objective of having the ADC solution. It was placed behind the WAF solution, so SSL offloading and transitions were taken care of in the SLB part, specifically Fortinet FortiADC. Regarding SSL offloading, we had the same use case since they need the certificate for external communications, but for internal communications, they had a separate certificate. We just offloaded the SSL in WAF, and we do the SSL transition in the Fortinet FortiADC part. When speaking about load balancing, this refers to GSLB, which stands for Global Server Load Balancing. The use case was to balance the loads in a hospital environment with one main application and other side applications supporting doctors, the database for their medical equipment, and related systems. The main application was an online consulting application. The task of Fortinet FortiADC was to load balance the number of hits based on the round robin algorithm and manage the balances between the four or five servers allocated to the application.
The primary use case involves load balancing, which can be integrated with various platforms such as FortiGate and FortiMail. Administrators choose FortiADC as a load-balancing platform due to its integration capabilities with end-user technologies. It supports the creation of virtual IPs and configuration of server nodes, applying algorithms like route roaming, which depends on the administrator's choice.
We are expanding our internal network with more virtual servers, and each needs to be defined on the Fortinet gateway. The FortiADC facilitates communication for servers meant for public access and supports load balancing. My main tasks involve defining new servers and importing SSL certificates.
The tool offers Web Application Firewall to protect against threats such as what is outlined in the OWASP Top 10 and robust load-balancing functionality with in depth health monitoring of application availability.
We use the solution for deploying applications on local servers. Most customers use it for local traffic management and use the benefits of a security profile.

We use FortiADC for link load balancing. FortiGate has this feature, but some customers aren't using Fortinet firewalls. In this case, the customer had three Internet links for downloading huge satellite images that are more than 70 GB. This company collects the images so their software can analyze which crops are at risk. They download the images between the hours of noon and midnight, and their customers access the website early in the morning around 7 a.m. They need to have the images downloaded and analyzed by the time their customers wake up, but the download server only allows 10 connections per IP address. We set up three links to achieve 30 connections to that IP server, and FortiADC balances the load between those links.

We load segregated data from the web application firewalls and have an alternative load balancer for both our internal and external applications. There are some extensive rewrites that we need. This load is used across our geographically dispersed locations, and data centers, that are actually facilitating both regions.
We use Fortinet FortiADC for disaster recovery, server load balancing, and global level server load balancing. The GSLB is on the internet. I can do GSLB, global server load balancing, and disaster recovery for server load balancing with web features. We can use the FortiADC as a caching server for user experience, as well as a variety of other things. It is similar to half of the web. it is 80 percent of the web.

We mainly use FortiADC for load balancing the application traffic for our customers. The aim is for the traffic to be equally balanced between servers, whether there are two, 10 or 20 servers. There are different load balancing algorithms that we have on the FortiADC and based on that we configure and we load balance the traffic. We have a static website, so we can use FortiWeb instead of the connection coming from the client each time. FortiADC gets the request from the cache Instead of it being sent to the server. If we have different ISP links, then we do our link load balancing using FortiADC. I'm a senior cyber security engineer and we are distributors of FortiADC.

We are an academic institution and our primary use of FortiADC is for student registrations. In the month that I have been using this solution, it seems to be working fine. It is a trial version and I am using it as a virtual appliance, rather than a physical one.
