Oracle OBIEE is a scary and stable product since it is a strong and well-created tool... In short, the solution is stable since it works properly every day.
The most valuable feature of Oracle OBIEE is interactive reporting because it allows better analysis versus conventional reporting, especially on the data warehouse side.

Its robustness is most valuable. It can handle massive amounts of data quickly. If it's properly configured and tuned, it can handle massive amounts of data very quickly to produce results. That to me is the number one feature.
The solution offers a wide range of software tools to meet various needs, such as those concerning reports, developer solutions like APEX and the integration of data.

I like the scheduling feature. It has an inbuilt scheduler which is very good, and it allows us to create agents, and those agents can be scheduled. It's quite flexible in that respect and goes into our IT infrastructure. The outputs are sent encrypted to various endpoints. Some are internal, and some are our clients, and it's encrypted at a high level.
I do find Oracle OBIEE flexible. If there is stuff that's not in your model or schema, it's very flexible to create SQL scripts and create the data you want. It's quite nice to create a dashboard in OBIEE, and that's pretty straightforward in the way you drag and drop everything. You can create sections, and you can add elements to your page. That bit of the interface is relatively straightforward.
The main features of this solution are that it is easy to use, intuitive, and user-friendly. When I retrieve the data from the database it is in a very raw form, then when I use the Oracle Report Builder it has advanced intelligence features to allow me to view and make changes to the data easily.

Some of the dashboard capabilities are good. The dashboard capabilities that tell you what kind of reports are available and provide you a summary of the reports are valuable. It is easy to navigate and easy to download reports into Excel to utilize them.

The primary reason for using OBIEE is connectivity with Oracle E-Business Suite. It makes it easy to connect with our Oracle E-Business Suite. There are the standard dashboards available, which we sometimes use, and now we are looking for customized dashboards.
I like the architecture of this solution. RPV is a powerful feature in Oracle OBIEE. It lets us design as per the needs of the organization. I can have multiple presentation folders and presentation layers. I can have customization in a single node in VMware, which is a very good feature of Oracle OBIEE. It helps customers in designing as per their requirements.
The most valuable feature is the ability to run it in Exalytics within memory coupled to a Repository on Exadata is where it flies. So it's not meant for mom and pop shops, but if you are a global 500 fortune 1000 company, this is a tool that can get you what you need on time and even in real time.
We do you use Oracle support. We've been paying for an Oracle support subscription for four or five years, and not one ticket has ever been logged. When I came in, I've encouraged the team to ask Oracle questions. They do get back quite quickly. Their support is good. Working with our account managers, if I need to escalate anything, I can speak to them and they escalate the call. I've got that ecosystem working quite well. That does work for us.

The most valuable feature of Oracle OBIEE, for me, would be the Web Catalog. From a development perspective, I do not need any client or any software to be installed on my laptop or desktop. Everything is browser-based, so I just open the browser and start development.

We can see almost-real-time performance in our operations. When there is a problem, it is easy to escalate it to top management and the time for management to make a decision about it is much shorter than it would be using a manual process.
Hello community,
I am a Module Lead Software Engineer at a large tech company.
I am currently researching business intelligence tools. What is the alternative logical key for Amazon QuickSight if I switch from Oracle OBIEE?
Thank you for your help.
Oracle OBIEE is designed to be relatively easy to set up and has a helpful customer support staff at the ready to assist customers. These are two attributes that make this system quite valuable. OBIEE is a program which is best equipped to serve larger companies that require a more expensive, higher-level, and more versatile type of solution. Companies of the type that seek out Oracle’s OBIEE network are going to want to minimize costs in the setup. Its straightforwardness is definitely something that large organizations are going to insist upon in such an important aspect of their business. Once that has been achieved, it would be in their best interests to have a dedicated team to help troubleshoot problems should it be necessary. Even though the support team is a separate cost. their quality of service may well be worth it. They work quickly and are able to tackle most problems that arise.
OBIEE has a high level of flexibility because it can operate on the cloud. Additionally, it is relatively user-friendly. There are fewer log-in requirements in place here than there are with other similar systems. This allows for users to have greater ease of access to the system at all times. Manipulation of the system can be done with a certain ease that may not necessarily be true of something like Oracle’s Analytics Cloud. Users have the ability to create new dashboards for monitoring data without a high level of hassle. It is significant that this system can be wielded so easily.
Oracle’s Analytics Cloud possesses many tools and dashboards that aid in the analysis of business-related data. Couple this with its affordability and Oracle’s Analytics Cloud is an excellent system. However, the program’s interfaces require improvement. Additionally, Analytics Cloud lacks built-in memory operations like cookies, which can make using it a bit more difficult.
Conclusion:
If you are a large company with a budget to match, then OBIEE will probably be a better choice for you than Analytics Cloud. However, overall Analytics Cloud offers an excellent program for a lesser cost than OBIEE. I would say that Analytics Cloud is the more easily accessible and useful product for the majority of companies.
