What advice do you have for others considering Matillion ETL?

If you were talking to someone whose organization is considering Matillion ETL, what would you say?

How would you rate it and why? Any other tips or advice?

I left them for two main reasons:

1) Their sources were pretty limited, and working with their generic API was pretty difficult.

2) They are not PaaS. Hence they are not scaleable (ec2 t3). To move to a stronger server, you have to buy an extended license.

Their flow manager is pretty good. Creating loops can be complicated sometimes.

The generated code is sometimes too long - causing your "map" to become invalid.

We're using the latest enterprise version of the solution with the public cloud deployment model. They're constantly improving themselves. I'm quite pleased with the pace of the number of changes that are coming out all the time. It's a great product and I think it's very competitive. I would recommend the solution. I would rate the solution nine out of ten.

Hi, So many products in the market these days for building, deploying & monitoring Data Pipelines for Cloud based analytics.  Currently, I'm assessing Matillion ETL and StreamSets, which appear on par (on the surface). I'm curious what 1st hand experiences folks have. Thanks for the help!

Hi peers, I work at an Insurance company with 5000+ employees and I'm interested in the collective view here.  Does anyone have a view on how Matillion ETL functionality compares to ADF for Snowflake integration, when ADF and Snowflake are hosted on Azure? Note: Azure hosting is important, as this appears to offer better integration options than when using ADF on AWS (for example). Thanks f...
