Great topic subscription monitoring, helpful management, and useful for audits
Addition of more monitoring features to Azure Cosmos DB can be a huge help as we use the same as the main database for our applications. One more thing to note is that their support team was always ready to clear all our doubts regarding the product but we feel that it would be much appreciated if they could share with us the required resources to get new customers like us well-versed in traversing through different modules of the product. These are the very few areas where Serverless360 can be improved.

Have faced limitations due to high costs but have maintained reliability over time
The primary issue is the pricing, which is very expensive for my company's budget. We cannot afford to pay such a large fee. We are not Microsoft or BMW; we are a small company. As a small company, I have no power to negotiate directly with VMware. Perhaps larger companies have more opportunity to contract directly with VMware, but I do not have that leverage. The only path I can follow is to change solutions. Net.spA is a company working in the field of waste management. We are not a technological company, so we do not have a large margin to justify purchasing and maintaining the VMware infrastructure at current costs.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It offers all the core capabilities we need to manage and monitor our Azure services."
"That is exactly where Serverless360 helped us by bringing in both Service Bus management and monitoring under the same hood."
"Service Bus topic subscription monitoring turned out to be the most useful for us."
"Serverless360 transformed the way our organizations manage Azure and hybrid integrations."
"The most valuable feature is the single pane of glass to see everything in your infrastructure and know when you're running low on resources, and things are over-provisioned and under-provisioned and so on."
"It has helped us with troubleshooting key points of our environment. If there are issues that come up, we can dig down to a virtual machine and see if it's having issues and where those issues lie: if it needs more memory, CPU, or if there is a storage issue."
"I think it's the best solution on the market in terms of capacity monitoring."
"It has allowed us to identify problems sooner and helps us with problems and issues."
"The initial setup is very straightforward. The platform and add-on solutions are straightforward."
"It has also been a huge help with capacity management and with performance management."
"For scalability, vROps has functionality where you can add remote collectors and remote data collectors, databases."
"I like the dashboards; I like being able to just look at it and see what my environment is doing."

Cons

"Addition of more monitoring features to Azure Cosmos DB can be a huge help as we use the same as the main database for our applications."
"The user interface of Serveress360 could be improved a bit to make the platform even easier to use."
"There were early kinks in the some of the virtual appliances as we rolled them out."
"There is room for improvement in asset management and resource usage."
"It's pretty user-friendly, but it could always be better as far as the interface goes, clicking around, and having to go back to different screens."
"It would be good if the tool gives more monitoring features like the ones offered by the other monitoring solutions, especially in areas like dashboards."
"I don't know if there's a way to e-mail alerts from it. We always have to go look into it."
"I've had some stability issues with past releases that stopped collecting information."
"In the beginning, I picked up an implementation that had been designed wrong from the ground up."
"Stability does go down from time to time. We have had some issues with the appliances sometimes and we have to do reboots in the middle of the day which affects the ability for them to deploy."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Bundle it in with your license rather than buying it as a separate product. It saves a lot of money that way."
"We did an enterprise license agreement with our VMware partner and put this in our bundle. We tried it and loved it, so we use it now."
"Our budgets are always tight. We would like to have more features at lower licensing levels for easier access to them."
"The solution is costly."
"The license is a one time cost, and you pay for support on a yearly basis. It is a bit expensive, but if you consider the product support and its reliability, it's justifiable."
"I would like to see a free offering. Cost is always a factor in any sort of line. Obviously, the value added is there and it's worth it."
"Don't overallocate! This means that you don't have to buy many hosts. You can save money that way."
"Most small users don't adopt VMware Aria Operations until it's necessary. Small businesses are looking for it, too. We need more monitoring and insights, so we're analyzing solutions to help us out here. I rate the solution’s pricing a five out of ten."
