Has transformed testing by reducing scripting effort and enhancing productivity with advanced features
The self-healing feature of Tricentis Tosca needs significant improvement. Currently, it is static and not dynamic. For example, if a button in an application changes, Tricentis Tosca should be smart enough to detect the change and still execute the script seamlessly. Improvements are needed to ensure it responds dynamically to changes in the application.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"TestingWhiz is a low code, no code tool with integration facilities, such as with Jira, and can be used over the cloud."
"The platform's most valuable feature is model-based testing, which is effective for test case design and optimization."
"The tool can be handled without any knowledge in parameterisation, especially the TestCaseDesign which makes the tool mighty and stable."
"It's stable and reliable."
"The low code is the best feature."
"The product's initial setup phase was easy."
"This solution is very easy to learn and any non-programmer or manual tester, with little experience in automation, can pick it up quite easily."
"We like the fact that it works across mobile, desktop, web, and APIs. Due to this, the solution has a broad range of applications."
"The scalability is a valuable feature of Tricentis Tosca."

Cons

"Some features need to be implemented based on customer customization requests, which are currently not available."
"They need to improve on the reports after the execution of automation tests, since all the current organizations are looking for detailed graphical reports."
"The product needs to improve object identification. The identify with properties and anchor methods work perfectly, while the by-index and image methods may face challenges."
"The initial setup was complex."
"More and more artificial intelligence (AI) is coming in. So, some amount of AI to create natural language processing (NLP)-based test cases and manage defects would be very helpful. This is because the technologies have evolved in the last five to six months, so there is a potential opportunity there."
"Tricentis Tosca's performance could be better. Sometimes when we are remapping or when it is loading it can take a lot of time. There are free solutions that have better performance in this area."
"First, Tricentis could improve Tosca's Linux scripting. We can automate Linux scripting, but there are a few commands that Tosca doesn't support. DVS support and the object identification mechanism could also be better."
"The document object model or some aspects of it has a bit of a learning curve."
"I would like to be able to manage different projects in one repository or have better data exchange between repositories."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"My understanding is that it's an expensive product, although I don't know the specifics with regards to pricing."
"Tricentis Tosca should improve its pricing. It is expensive."
"If you are purchasing less than five licenses, then the pricing is high. On a scale from one to ten, with one being low and ten being high pricing, I would rate this solution at eight."
"The tool is quite expensive."
"The tool's pricing is lower than that of other automation tools."
"The licensing cost for Tricentis Tosca is expensive. It has multiple features, but to use all of its features, you have to pay for additional licenses."
"Tricentis Tosca is not expensive at all."
"A competitor of Tricentis Tosca: Katalon Studio, is very similar and offers lower pricing, though Tricentis Tosca offers more features and benefits."
