Has consistently provided impressive data handling capabilities and robust security features
Some of the most valuable features of SAP Data Services ( /products/sap-data-services-reviews ) include data extraction where SAP is the best in that perspective, but when it comes to analytics or the reporting tool, I prefer to connect with Microsoft Power BI ( /products/microsoft-power-bi-reviews ), which is a fantastic tool. Typically, from an end-user perspective, SAP has a huge amount of data, in terms of terabytes of data, but when you analyze that, the best form of visualization is always through Microsoft Power BI ( /products/microsoft-power-bi-reviews ). SAP Data Services provides a best-in-class return on investment, as SAP's vision and forecast are absolutely amazing. They are ahead of technology, building an ecosystem that meets the standards of the fast-changing digital economy. SAP is indeed good at all this now, with so many components such as SAP Signavio, SAP EINS, SAP Work Zone, SAP ALM ( /categories/application-lifecycle-management-alm-suites ), Cloud ALM ( /categories/application-lifecycle-management-alm-suites ), SAP public cloud, SAP private cloud, and BTP, all of which are essential to meet the latest cutting-edge technologies.

Fire-and-forget solution with a great infrastructure
Generally speaking, support is a pain point. In the next release, I would love to see a change in support from the current chat to a more comprehensive portal. I would also like to see more exotic connectors. Stitch is based on a single framework, which means you can build your own tab. That is not a problem and I have done it in the past for some use cases with open-source tools and it was great, but it would still be nice to have a shortcut. With more exotic connectors, we could put in minimal effort into introducing new integrations, which would enable us to quickly gather more customers in the long run. You need at least one week to do the integration. What Stitch can do is open the framework for how we can build or contribute to new integrators. They could even make it open-source.

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The initial setup is not complex."
"One of the most valuable features is that it is integrated."
"The solution has good connectivity with SAP."
"The solution offers very good integration capabilities."
"It is a powerful product with a broad range of features."
"The most valuable feature is the ETL functionality."
"The basic functionality is quite good as is the basic logic and data information."
"The maintenance of data services is the solution's most valuable feature."
"The most valuable feature of Stitch for us is ease of use. This solution is fire-and-forget. All an organization has to do is set up the connection or integration and move on."

Cons

"There needs to be multi-language support, however, my understanding is they are working on multi-language now."
"They could make it easier to work with web services."
"We would like the different tools offered within this solution to be available as standalone entities, rather than having to purchase the entire package when we only require a few features."
"Source code control is another headache. When your source code base gets too large, managing the source code becomes cumbersome."
"The support is poor because of the time and the knowledge of the support team."
"It's an ETL that is very good with relational databases but not as good with files and semi-structured files."
"The interface is not quite user-friendly and is in need of improvement."
"We encounter challenges while exporting implemented rules, such as those applied to objects like the material master, into a format like Excel for documentation and further analysis."
"Generally speaking, support is a pain point. In the next release, I would love to see a change in support from the current chat to a more comprehensive portal."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's relatively expensive compared to other vendors, but it is competitive."
"The product’s on-premise version is expensive for a medium-sized company."
"Speaking about prices, Oracle and SAP are market leaders. So, the prices are more."
"The enterprise version of SAP Data Services is free."
"Pricing is good, there is no problem."
"Its pricing is as per the enterprise agreement and not a concern for us."
"I rate the product price as one or two on a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price, and ten is a high price."
"The license price is expensive but medium to large-scale companies, should be able to afford it. Other solutions, such as Talend are easier to afford for smaller companies. Depending on the sources of the data where you are receiving your data you could be paying for more than one license."
