Has improved data security and automation while supporting large-scale storage and migration
I do not use the Global Reach feature. Regarding metrics and performance, I don’t recall the exact performance metrics, but we use ETL processes to monitor and manage migration performance and data quality. Oracle Database Cloud Service is strong for data management and storage, as well as for its security features and automation of data dumps and archiving. Overall, Oracle Database Cloud Service is a solid product. It’s well-suited for financial platforms. Oracle provides both its on-premises and cloud-based suites, and the company continues to evolve, offering more components for data storage, data management, and integration with other tools and SaaS solutions. I plan to continue using Oracle Database Cloud Service, particularly for managing SaaS tools in financial contexts.

Real-time analytics have transformed response times and support huge data volumes with compression
I do not have any comment related to the improvement of the solution; for sure, it needs improvement, but for my use cases, it is very sufficient, and I think for the biggest companies, it needs a very powerful infrastructure. The area where improvement is required the most in the product is the UI. The problem with the UI is that it is not complex for understanding, but it needs some training to know what each button does, how it works, and the many variables needed.

"The most valuable feature of Oracle Database Cloud Service is its cloud capabilities."
"Oracle is the best database, but I love open-source software."
"Normally, every database server uses hard disks. In-Memory has a feature, apart from their database, which is very good. When we start our server, all your data needs loading memory. We can use that. It's a very good feature. I think they added this feature in 2019. We can mount memory in the partition, create partitions in there, and create table space from that spot to share. It's a really good feature. We use it a lot."
"We find the dashboard and the speed of data processing very valuable in Oracle Database In-Memory."
"We have recently deployed our database on cloud with Oracle Database In-Memory; we have a single standby on cloud, and on contingency occasions, we switch over to cloud and use it for four to five months."
"Overall, it's a very good solution."
"The solution's ROI is excellent."
"The on-premise version is stable."
"The Oracle database is easier to program and manage, and is secure."

Cons

"I would rate the quality of technical support from Oracle as a five out of ten. Some of my colleagues have found the duration of service to be too long and lacking in technical detail."
"Oracle should work on the solution's compatibility issues with the operating system."
"We encountered connection failures for some of our sites."
"In my opinion, the price of Oracle Database Cloud Service should be more affordable. Additionally, the interface of the application could be more user-friendly."

"I would like Oracle Database In-Memory to include a data replication feature."
""It depends". If you get a good support engineer, it is a dream. But, most times, it is not, unfortunately."
"In the next release, Oracle should include column store or advanced query optimization so a database can be optimized by enabling analytic queries to run faster."
"Multitenant, to be honest, is a little adolescent at this point."
"The query optimization and backup features should be added."
"The solution should move to the new way of writing software code with AI that is intelligent and learns."
