It offers a simple implementation of business and infrastructure dashboards but the monitoring services need improvement.
* Service group capability * Ability to monitor users experience * Simple implementation of business and infrastructure dashboards * Network traffic monitoring Also, OpMon offers: * Greater scalability * Easy to manage and implement * The ability to create business groups that generate more accurate information * It has a robust and agile architecture; and * A highly trained team that gives it a lot of credibility.

Real-time monitoring has improved our banking API performance and supports detailed business transaction analysis
The real-time monitoring is what we can see for anything that is needed in terms of CPU, memory, or the connections or the sessions related. It's real-time monitoring of performance of each of the components, which is what we need and use all the time. It's highly effective, I would say. Infrastructure visibility, transaction monitoring, to check the actual user experience in terms of the response time, MRT and all those things. We do the component monitoring like the API performance and the connections and all those things, but we also do the business process monitoring and business transaction monitoring.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"As a consulting company we implement management solutions to a large variety of companies and after working with OpMon our project time was reduced and we can offer a different solution to each customer."
"Since we started using OpMon, we have increased our assertiveness and consequently reduced costs with fewer errors."
"We are so much faster in responding to issues than we've ever been before."
"The event alerting feature or the trigger system is what I like most about AppDynamics Server Monitoring. Whenever an issue occurs, the tool automatically generates an even trigger that tells engineers in the company to take action, so it's an essential feature of AppDynamics Server Monitoring. Another valuable feature of the tool is end-to-end monitoring, which means if you need to debug, you can go transaction by transaction, where the issue lies, and how it's linked. For example, if it's a low-performance issue, you can look into it more through AppDynamics Server Monitoring in terms of which area takes too much time to execute. You can also see the SQL queries and the kind of query going on through the tool."
"This is purely an application instrumentation and monitoring tool with good features for business analytics."
"The analytics are great."
"AppDynamics will assist the company in managing its overall systems, capabilities, and performance."
"We have been able to monitor our applications more accurately."
"We can view the server activities, including issues in the process, with a single click."
"The solution helps us provide a better user experience to our customers."

Cons

"Infrastructure and business monitoring services need improvement."
"The solution could improve by covering more technologies. For example, it does support .NET Core applications. However, it could be a bit better."
"My impression of the scalability of the solution is that it is not very scalable. They are not the market leader anymore."
"The solution must improve security and setup."
"The technical capabilities of people sitting in technical support is questionable."
"Technical support is slow. Basically, we mail, we wait, we mail."
"Scalability-wise, I think it's a little limited on an enterprise-wide scale."
"Scalability is an issue. We are pushing the product to its limits on our current hardware allocation, so it's hard to fault the product for that."
"Transactions are not collected across the board."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"In terms of pricing, I feel that when you compare the benefits that we get to the price that we paid, it is reasonable."
"I give the price a five out of ten."
"We are looking forward to purchasing the solution on the AWS Marketplace."
"I would like more flexible pricing: A pay-per-use model, rather than just a fixed-price model."
"It could be cheaper. It's a little cost prohibitive. There are so many features that also show a lot of value, but it’s not always easy to justify the cost."
"There is a license to use this solution. However, the clients pay for the licenses we are the service provider."
"AppDynamics offers a yearly basis license."
"AppDynamics is an expensive solution."
