Industry-leading, easy to implement, and has good mapping specification guidelines
The good thing about OpenText is that we have the mapping specification guideline available, which is not there in a solution like SEEBURGER. Whenever you want to take a decision to move away from OpenText, you have already documented your mapping and what your mapping looks like. So you go to the next provider, provide them with that mapping specification, and it'll be very easy for them to develop a new map instead of just taking the data - input data, output data - and then looking for how the data is getting transformed. So you have the mapping spec level which is a very good feature of OpenText, which we do not have in SEEBURGER. It's very hard to move from SEEBURGER. The solution is easy to implement. It's stable and reliable. They are the industry leaders in the integration space.

Consistently beneficial with excellent accessibility although support's response time needs improvement
The features and functions of the SAP Cloud Platform are very good; the performance is improved when compared with the older versions. Earlier, we were using Oracle DB, and after HANA DB migration, it is fine. We are getting the reports, and processing time is also reduced. Almost all the features of the SAP Cloud Platform are fine and good. SAP Fiori has also entered into the picture, and we are developing the Fiori apps. We have started with the BTP for the new innovations as per the SAP roadmap. The main benefits of the SAP Cloud Platform for us are that earlier we had the primary data center at our place, but now we have shifted to the cloud. The maintenance is free for us; the maintenance is completely done by this SAP partnership with Cloud4C. We have started using the SAP Analytics Cloud, and we have developed many applications for SAP SAC. We are going to give the presentation to our chairman most probably next week. The analytics features positively influence decision-making for us. The SAP Cloud Platform has been effective for us because the processing time is reduced, and we can access it easily.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is easy to implement."
"The good thing about OpenText is that we have the mapping specification guideline available, which is not there in a solution like SEEBURGER."
"It's suitable for various sizes of companies. I have used it with big companies and with small ones as well."
"The tool's most valuable aspects are the niche technologies and the latest editions. The way these updates are rolled out makes it easy to manage because clients and customers are not responsible for keeping everything up to date. It's SAP's responsibility, which makes it much easier to take advantage of the new features they roll out every month."
"The pre-delivered content from the SAP cloud platform is definitely a strength."
"It has improved our speed to bring our mobile applications into productive use in a cost-effective way."
"The most valuable feature of this product is the scalability inherent in it because it resides on the cloud."
"The solution is scalable."
"SAP Cloud Platform's most valuable features are its exhaustiveness, scalability with minimum maintenance, and functionality."
"My advice to anyone who is doing such a thing right now is not to listen to the old reputation of SAP in terms of complexity and difficulty in deployment."

Cons

"Technical support needs to be better."
"Technical support isn't the greatest. The transparency is less than you sometimes need."
"The main problem is that there aren't any easy migrations from SAP PO to SAP CPI, so from process orchestration to cloud platform integration."
"Lacks flexibility in its licensing structure."
"While it was good for a small entity, it was not ideal for a large enterprise."
"I would like for it to have integration to GitHub."
"Regarding improvements, I think the user experience, specifically the developer experience during design time, could be better. Platforms like MuleSoft and Flowgear have much better design times."
"This product needs a lot of improvement and should be simplified."
"We need to connect our ERP solution via the VPN. We need to make sure our ERP solutions aren't exposed to the outside world. Our teams really struggle with this."
"One crucial aspect where SAP lags behind in flexibility is customization to suit specific business requirements. SAP needs to understand that customization is inevitable and should be more supportive of business-driven customization."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The price of the solution depends on the package that is purchased. There are many packages to choose from. The packages are not overly expensive."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a nine out of ten."
"SAP's pricing is usually high compared to the competition. But this is also justified because they hold their products and services to quite high standards."
"The product's pricing varies and depends on the customers' needs."
"SAP Cloud Platform costs $2 to $5 per hour, while I found other platforms way more affordable. You have to pay per use, though that's fine because that means the cost is flexible."
"SAP offers yearly, subscription-based, and pay-as-you-use licensing."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is a high price, and ten is a low price, I rate the pricing a six or seven."
"SAP Cloud Platform Integration is an expensive product. I rate its pricing an eight out of ten."
