Has essential threat detection capabilities, but the features for intelligence need enhancement
We integrated this tool with our security infrastructure. We installed it on a Linux server, where we have a Logger and ESM installed. With the Linux server as the hub, we manage all the configurations and rules, including those for email triggers. The logs are routed through a connector to the Logger, allowing us to monitor our infrastructure effectively. The platform helps us improve threat detection capabilities. I recommend it to others and rate it a seven out of ten.

Customization options need improvement but valuable threat management features and reasonable pricing benefit service providers
We are a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), and we provide services to our customers Seceon Open Threat Management Platform offers valuable features such as XDR and EDR. I also find the SOC and SOAR features valuable. Log management is another key functionality of the product. There are…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The platform helps us improve threat detection capabilities."
"We found the correlation engine to be very good, as it takes logs from different types of devices and does the correlation in a good way."
"The ability to tailor an environment to suit our specific use cases is a major advantage of ArcSight compared to other logging servers such as Splunk."
"The product has a valuable interface."
"The most valuable feature of ArcSight Intelligence is a single console where the entire dashboard gives all the connected details in a single place."
"You can use different solutions in a single platform which is very easy and attractive for customers."
"It offers a holistic approach with multiple solutions blended into one platform."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is its artificial intelligence."
"The solution is stable."
"The pricing of Seceon Open Threat Management Platform is very reasonable."
"Seceon Open Threat Management Platform provides a more straightforward implementation that is better than Splunk and offers an AI-based platform with machine learning and deep learning capabilities."
"Seceon Open Threat Management Platform notifies only genuine alerts. It offers plenty of options that are suitable for MSPs."
"It is effective because it has threat intelligence from across the world and constantly checks and updates for new threats."

Cons

"We haven't found the product fully scalable."
"The dashboard is not user-friendly and is in black and white."
"ArcSight Intelligence's pricing needs improvement."
"The frequency of the updates that we are getting can be improved because the number and types of incidents that are happening at the global level are far more than what we are receiving. The frequency of updates feeds related to our rules should be increased. There should be more frequent information about the new rules that are coming and the global threats that are happening. There should be better options for dashboard creation. At present, the dashboards are good, but there is scope to make them better."
"ArcSight Intelligence is a bit slower, and its speed should be improved."
"It would be ideal with the processing was more manageable. Not many customers are willing to have a dedicated server with two CPUs and one TB of memory. The cost of this is huge for a smaller organization."
"Certain features, such as DLP, need to be improved as they are superficial and not in-depth."
"Seceon Open Threat Management Platform sells some add-ons as part of the whole suite but not individually. If they sold them individually, they could potentially attract more business."
"It would be better if they offered global coverage."
"It would be ideal with the processing was more manageable."
"For small to medium-sized customers, Seceon Open Threat Management Platform is good. However, for large enterprises, it is not as effective."
"It needs more compatibility for co-managed solutions."
"For future releases, integrating incident response tools and improving communication on incident reporting could be beneficial."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"They offer perpetual licenses for the product."
"The solution is expensive and only suitable for enterprise environments."
"It is an expensive platform."
"ArcSight Intelligence is an expensive solution."
"Its price is average and not very high. Splunk might be a bit cheaper than this. Its licensing is on a monthly basis."
"It has a per-asset model instead of an ingestion-based model, which gives predictable pricing. In terms of price, it is in the middle to lower range of SIEMs that it competes against. It is the most affordable solution that we have implemented so far. It was much more affordable than anything else I've implemented."
"The solution is cheap and very competitive. It offers good tuning in terms of the pricing. Other solutions like Palo Alto and IBM are more expensive."
"Seceon Open Threat Management Platform is cost-effective because it's a comprehensive platform that offers high availability."
"The pricing is very competitive. It's not expensive."
"I find Seceon OTM's pricing to be reasonable, not too high or low, just okay for the market standards. I can't disclose specific figures, we pay on a quarterly basis under a service model. I would rate it eight out of ten. As a customer, I always hope for better pricing options."
"The price is quite reasonable."
"We used the solution's trial version for two months and later purchased it."

Capture DB - they all use NoSQL db and hence solve the ad hoc query and 'go back in time' problem with current best of breed SIEM and DLP solutions that rely on real time analysis of incoming logs (and don't store them). This means deeper and quicker iterative threat analysis and assessment…
