Versatile integrations and reliable customer satisfaction elevate cloud service experience
For Microsoft Azure improvement, they need to enhance their support system. The first level of support should be improved in terms of quality and response time. They need more technical support at the first level, as there are currently only one or two technical people among five to ten staff members at this level. They should ensure that the first level support is more technical because we normally provide services to technical users ourselves. When an issue arises, it usually escalates to the second or third level. When facing first level support, they may have limited knowledge and only collect screenshots to forward to their seniors. They should ensure that the first level support is aligned with L2 and L3 to better assist us, especially since we mention in the ticket that our issues are related to specific problems and require that sort of support.

A scalable and stable solution that has good scalability and is easy to setup
It is a scalable solution. I have yet to have a scenario regarding automatic scale and if there's an increase in resource requirement or need. We have yet to have that scenario. We have yet to test that. The scalability was more than manually adjusting and increasing whatever I had to do. I rate it eight out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable features of the solution are ease of use and the enhancements are continually being updated."
"I have found all the features to be good."
"It is a very easy-to-use platform, and it is very powerful in terms of data backup and Blob storage. It has very good features, especially if you are using Microsoft products, such as Windows, Microsoft SQL Server."
"The product makes it easy to spin up new environments and develop new technologies."
"The advantage of Microsoft Azure is its simplicity. It's easy to launch a project. However, the problem with this kind of solution is the reliability for the customers. You have to be sure to stay with Microsoft."
"My final overall rating for Microsoft Azure is excellent, giving it a perfect score."
"In terms of computer resource management and reduced cost, it is very, very effective, and in large environments, it gives you a lot of flexibility to provide different services, like disaster recovery and business continuity with simple and great options because you don't have to spend a lot of time for maintenance, upgrades, and security."
"The pricing is great, as we only pay for what we use."
"The control is valuable. It's really easy to use and you have good control of your solutions."
"The advanced level of production-ready Docker hosting, one-click application deployment, and the truly flexible pricing."
"If you are looking for a great PaaS product, don't hesitate to check Jelastic!"
"As a strategic solution, it's really good because it will avoid a lot of cost if you are building your data center, for example, or from scratch."
"Technical support from Jelastic is very good."
"The solution is scalable, and that is what we are looking at. There is no learning curve as we have not done much research."
"The dynamic vertical scaling is a unique feature."
"Jelastic is exactly what we expect from a PaaS vendor: easy-to-start, easy-to-manage, container based technology, support for vertical and horizontal auto-scaling, and all this without vendor lock-in."

Cons

"It should have a better hybrid-cloud central analysis. Their support service also needs to be improved."
"Many features are specific to Azure cloud, creating a vendor lock-in."
"To give a rating of ten out of ten, the speed of technical support needs to improve because the time cycle from raising a ticket to resolution can stretch up to a month or two, which is very long; otherwise, I do not have much negativity about the product quality."
"I would like to see improved migration tools. It is improving week by week. They just need to make sure that they keep up with the new functionality provided in other clouds."
"Microsoft Azure could improve by having the availability be 100%. Which is difficult, but not impossible."
"We are not so satisfied with technical support right now. Sometimes they cannot help us."
"The solution could always work to reduce its costs."
"The solution could improve by providing better tutorials and documentation."
"For now, some customers are requesting support of Docker containers for Windows."
"I would like to see better integration into enterprise storage products."
"An S3 like storage system, if they have a s3 API compatible system I can move my files from AWS."
"The security layers also need to be improved because there is no clear layer or tier of security in the solution."
"The backup functionality needs to be improved."
"The backup features need improvement, or rather it should be added, as I could not find it."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The subscription models can be confusing and it would be beneficial for them to simplify them. We are on an annual subscription."
"Price could always be cheaper. Its licensing and usage aren't always cheap. We pay monthly."
"It's not on a per-user basis; it's on a per subscription basis. It is dependent on how much you use."
"The pricing for us is higher because we are using IaaS."
"The pricing is relatively high."
"The pricing of the solution could be reduced. We are not able to create a free account in my country."
"It is affordable, but its subscription price could be cheaper."
"We have an annual license subscription to use the solution."
"Pricing for providers is revenue-shared based. Providers should invest in hardware to set up the Jelastic cluster."
"I would rate the cost 3 out of 5. There are additional costs other than licensing fees."
