Unified risk scoring has improved our cloud visibility and simplifies remediation priorities
Qualys TotalCloud provides unified vulnerability and threat assessment across both IAS and SaaS. This solution provides a single prioritized view of risk, which helps reduce the work I would have to do. We are no longer based on CVSS; we are based on Qualys risk scoring, which is based on CVSS plus internal findings made by Qualys, and then assigns its own score. The TruRisk insight feature has found a small number of assets with high vulnerability scores, though I am cautious since some information is classified. Qualys TotalCloud has positively impacted our bank's performance, and we have definitely seen benefits after implementing this solution.

Enhanced endpoint security with effective patch management and frequent scans
The most valuable feature was the patch management, which was very effective for endpoint-centric solutions requiring remediation of vulnerabilities. ManageEngine Vulnerability Manager Plus was the perfect fit for managing these requirements. We improved the number of scans and patches performed from four times per year per computer to four times per month.

Proactive exploit intelligence has transformed how we prioritize real-world vulnerability risks
VulnCheck needs improvement in terms of data. It is primarily an intelligence and data layering system and not a complete vulnerability management platform. This means that it lacks native patch workflows, so you do not have asset discovery as you would with Tenable or Qualys. You will require other tools to act on the data that you find, which necessitates engineering time for API integration, data mapping, and tuning. Additionally, not all exploit signs are clear; some can be noisy or ambiguous, so teams need to apply their judgment. Finally, the time to value is not instant; it requires integration, workflow changes, and team training. I think VulnCheck is an excellent tool and valuable data resource. However, if you wish to send alerts via an API to platforms like Rapid7 or Tenable VM, you will need to integrate that with a SIEM solution to perform any kind of risk management.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"One of the most valuable features of Qualys TotalCloud is FlexScan, which is specifically for internet-facing VMs. We found this feature to be very useful. It was a key differentiator for us."
"I would definitely recommend Qualys TotalCloud to other users."
"Qualys TotalCloud helps you not just to identify misconfigurations, but you can actually also fix issues."
"The vulnerability management feature is the one I like the most because it provides a clear picture of all vulnerabilities."
"Its excellent graphical interface makes the scanning process simple."
"I highly recommend Qualys TotalCloud to other users."
"Once you have your vulnerabilities fixed and your patches pushed out using Qualys TotalCloud, then you are able to eliminate threats and cyber risk."
"I found the initial setup user-friendly."
"I have been using it for over two years, and it is fantastic."
"ManageEngine is a comprehensive tool that is broad and can be customized to fit specific needs."
"The solution helps us figure out vulnerabilities and fix them."
"The most valuable feature was the patch management, which was very effective for endpoint-centric solutions requiring remediation of vulnerabilities."
"Overall, VulnCheck has increased operational efficiency, helped us maintain better network availability, and enabled us to provide more reliable service to our users."
"With VulnCheck's early exploit visibility, I can remediate vulnerabilities quickly, making timely decisions before the vulnerabilities are known to the public and hackers."
"VulnCheck has shifted the mindset within my organization and my partners from a reactive to a more proactive approach."
"The clear prioritization based on risk is probably the biggest day-to-day benefit."
"We have observed a measurable reduction in our vulnerability backlog since using VulnCheck, estimating a decrease of 20% to 35% for high-priority vulnerabilities and reducing our mean time to remediation for critical vulnerabilities by around 30%."
"If you are looking for a one-stop solution for vulnerability management that offers lower costs and superior visibility into vulnerabilities, then VulnCheck is the right choice."

Cons

"It is already perfect, but they can bring some newer dashboards and customization options for the dashboard. It would be great to be able to include on-prem assets on the dashboard."
"Some major banks and insurance companies require an on-premises solution for comprehensive vulnerability management, which TotalCloud does not offer."
"Qualys TotalCloud has the potential to improve by integrating a hybrid platform for comprehensive management of both on-premises and cloud infrastructures."
"An area for improvement would be to focus on risks related to AI, such as large language models and potential data leakage."
"One of the things that could be improved is the alerts. Qualys is a fantastic tool, especially with the TruRisk feature, but one challenge that most leaders face involves alert fatigue."
"To improve the user experience, reporting could be simplified for better comprehension by end users and project managers, facilitating issue resolution."
"The areas in the solution that have room for improvement include the UI/UX design, which should be improved, and they should integrate more artificial intelligence into the product."
"Enhancing clarity regarding its compliance capabilities would be beneficial, as the current scope is limited in geographic coverage."
"The user interface is the only drawback of the product."
"One area that needs improvement is the contract management. My legal team required some partner requirements for that, and ManageEngine could not support it."
"The integration with third-party solutions such as ticketing solutions or CMDB solutions can be improved."
"I chose a rating of nine for VulnCheck because some parts, such as the implementation aspect and the patch remediation trackers, are lacking."
"VulnCheck's UI and reporting can be improved for better visibility."
"Regarding VulnCheck's AI capabilities, I find that it currently lacks AI-driven capabilities."
"VulnCheck needs improvement in terms of data."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Its price seems higher compared to other tools, but it is worth it. If they could adjust the pricing and make it comparable with other tools, that would be great."
"The pricing is comparable. It is built into our other product, so I cannot piecemeal it. It is a part of our subscription."
"The pricing for TotalCloud is attractive and competitive in the market. Given the features, especially the dashboard, I have no concerns regarding pricing."
"The cost is high, but it meets our organizational needs."
"While Qualys TotalCloud's pricing is currently acceptable, it is becoming increasingly expensive and may soon be considered overpriced."
"As a middle management member, I do not have direct pricing knowledge, but based on the knowledge from our meetings, its pricing is competitive."
"It isn't cheap, but it's reasonable. It helps us to manage things with very few resources."
"Qualys TotalCloud is cost-efficient and was selected for its value compared to other products."
"The price is very reasonable."
