Routing has supported carrier-grade services and has needed more affordable security options
The features of Juniper MX Series Routers that I find most useful are its nice scalability, redundant power supply, and routing engines. Redundancy is maintained in the router itself, including power redundancy and routing engine redundancy. The routers run mostly all the protocols required for the managed service provider, and security-wise, they also have good features, allowing us to provide IPSec VPN services from the routers. These are the basic, mostly used features that we are utilizing. For Deep Packet Inspection, Juniper MX Series Routers have firewall filters and commands related to routing engine protection, and then packet inspection features are configured. In traffic management with Juniper MX Series Routers, I leverage the policer, shapers, and quality of service parameters for traffic management. I also use OSPF traffic engineering features and MPLS-TE; these are a few features that I employ for traffic management.

Achieves exceptional performance and programmability with minimal hardware requirements
Netgate TNSR is a fully-featured router that handles all the technologies that we use. It has a very familiar and intuitive command-line interface. Additionally, it includes an API, which makes it easier to use in a programmatic fashion. It has been a very cost-effective alternative to larger router vendors, and we tend to get better performance out of it for the hardware that we use, achieving over four hundred gigs of throughput with very minimal hardware. Throughput is key to us.

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is very stable and scalable."
"With respect to scalability, this is one of the best solutions that I have ever seen."
"I would say it is very user-friendly."
"The functionality and stability are great."
"In our company, we are integrators who create solutions for our customers. I find Juniper EX Series Ethernet Switches to be suitable as it allows for easy configuration and offers features like SNMP. Personally, I find it convenient to switch from Cisco to Juniper EX because of my experience with various vendors like Huawei and Cisco. It's easy for me to read configurations from Cisco and transfer them to Juniper. Mainly, we work with customers who want to change or upgrade their network infrastructure, moving from vendors like Cisco, Aruba, or Huawei to Juniper for modernization. Juniper's features are more advanced, and it helps us meet the diverse needs of our customers. My role involves helping with the deployment and configuration of switching, access points, and Wi-Fi, for building robust and modern networks."
"I find it simple to configure Juniper MX Series Routers, which I would say is a beneficial part of that product."
"It offers high protection and I like it."
"Overall, I find this to be a good product; the features are completely stable and customers are happy with their investment, although there is occasionally an issue with the reliability of certain modules."
"The solution has good performance."
"It is surprisingly high performance for very little total cost of ownership."

Cons

"We'd like them to be capable of adding firewall options to the license."
"Automation can also be improved."
"The integration could be better."
"In my opinion, to improve Juniper MX Series Routers, Juniper should make the MS-MIC card required for IPSec support more affordable, as it is currently costly."
"In terms of improvement, I would like for it to effectively protect against the broadcast storms, multicast storms, and DDoS attacks."
"It is not scalable, unfortunately."
"The pricing is a bit too high."
"The solution could improve by providing better training to allow more sales of the solution in the market."
"The scalability could improve."
