Has a community of plugin providers but needs improvement in Kubernetes integration
Integrating Jenkins with other tools or solutions has presented some challenges. For instance, when attempting to integrate Jenkins with Kubernetes, I encountered numerous errors, which took several days to resolve. In Jenkins, adding a feature typically involves incorporating the repository feature separately. Jenkins lacks built-in Git repository functionality, necessitating an external Git repository to store Jenkins manifests. In contrast, GitLab offers an integrated Git repository and pipeline runner, streamlining the process. One improvement for Jenkins could be integrating a Git server, simplifying the management of CI/CD pipelines. Currently, with Jenkins, modifying pipeline manifests requires navigating to a separate Git repository. In GitLab, however, manifest changes can be made directly within the repository.

Easy to use and works right away
There are aspects of Nx that could be improved, particularly the desktop interface, which I find quite unappealing, mostly in black and white. I used Nx in the past on an older Mac, and it seemed more accessible then. The challenge lies in the small space and difficulties in saving. If these issues can be addressed, Nx could become a more user-friendly and effective solution. In the future, to improve Nx, I think enhancing the partition manager in TDE would be beneficial. Currently, it lacks features like specifying the Mount Point, which is important for organizing the root and other directories. The Nx Partition Manager does a decent job, but there is room for improvement. Additionally, it would be great if the installation process could provide more details on what Nx is doing, especially regarding networking setups.

Pros

"Using Jenkins we have configured and automated the complete build procedure."
"Configuration management: It is so easy to configure a Jenkins instance. Migrate configuration to a new environment just by copying XML files and setting up new nodes."
"We use it for the automation pipeline in our development of software, where it compiles and moves the software to deployment in the Microsoft Azure cloud and also generates documentation for all the software."
"Jenkins's open-based framework is very valuable."
"GitHub linking is pretty good. We have a deployment application where we can run our tests and add various variables to be passed as assertions to those tests."
"It is easy to use."
"Different types of jobs, such as Pipeline, Build, Freestyle, Maven, etc."
"It is essential for software development and team collaboration."
"I really like Nx because it is easy to use and works right away."

Cons

"The solution's UI can use a facelift and the logs can use more detailed information."
"Jenkins could improve by adding the ability to edit test automation and make time planning better because it is difficult."
"I do not have any notes for improvement."
"And I don't care too much for the Jenkins user interface. It's not that user-friendly compared to other solutions available right now. It's not a great user experience. You can do just fine if you are a techie, but it would take a novice some time to learn it and get things done."
"Support should be provided at no cost, as there is no free support available for any of the free versions."
"Jenkins could improve by allowing more scripting languages. We need to use Groovy scripting and it is difficult to debug and it is not ideal for creating file scripts."
"The bug fix speed is very slow."
"Pipelines are still young and promising. But this part still has some room for improvement."
"There are aspects of Nx that could be improved, particularly the desktop interface, which I find quite unappealing, mostly in black and white."
