"Simplicity of use.""The HTML5 interface is very robust.""The pricing is very good if you compare it to other competitors.""In the six years we have been using Nutanix Prism, we have never had a problem with stability.""Prism's best features include the single point of failure (SPOF) and ease of implementation.""Duplication and compression work for data in a hybrid solution.""I am very satisfied with the technical support.""Everything has been valuable, without a doubt the server is self-managed with Prism in an efficient way, it solves possible logical errors to maintain production without interruptions, it's great."

Cons
"Instana Infrastructure Monitoring needs to support monitoring of the .NET framework since it is one of the areas where the solution currently has shortcomings."

More Instana Infrastructure Monitoring Cons →

"When we get a request from a user for a file-level recovery, there are self-recovery options, but they only work if the replication is available to that cluster locally... In VMware, we could restore a VM and attach the hard drive to any other server and copy the file easily. But that kind of facility is not available in AHV.""The replication we have does not have any backup systems built-in. We have to separate license records for backup, like onboard. We would like to have this in a future release.""Nutanix Prism can be more stable because it's not as stable as VMware.""The solution could be a bit more user-friendly. The dashboard and configuration should be much easier to use.""No integration of commands to manage AHV.""The automation needs to be improved, as there are several challenges.""The VM backup could be better, and its licensing could be better. We have had some licensing issues with Nutanix Files. The default license should be 1 TB or more. Currently, for Nutanix Files sharing, we can only use 500 Gigabytes.""We definitely have some issues with Nutanix Prism. Our main issue is that we cannot operate the database. It would seem that less configuration would be desirable, because between Nutanix and the Oracle database on Windows, there tends to be problems."

  • "Compared to VMware, the price of this solution is great."
  • "Nutanix Prism is priced better than some of the competing solutions."
  • "This product is cheaper than using VMware."
  • "The license we bought for Nutanix Prism is perpetual, so once you have it, you can keep on using it. It's a three-year license that's paid one time. The license we have covers the three-node cluster."
  • "The license for Prism is costlier than other VMs."
  • "We have spent a lot of money on the Nutanix solution with Prism. Yet, for this amount of money we could be buying high-end storage with a lot of IOPS and bandwidth, even more than with Nutanix."
  • "Nutanix have bundles for pricing. On a single bundle, we get everything including vSAN or VMware and there are no additional costs. It is just a single license that is needed."
