A scalable tool that needs a lot of maintenance due to its unstable nature
Governance, data dictionary, and data cataloging are not available in Informatica Enterprise Data Lake. A lot of businesses are facing issues related to understanding the area revolving around insights of data. At Informatica Enterprise Data Lake's level, in our company, we have a lot of redundant data in a lot of our core systems. The basic thing that our company wants is for the product to develop a reporting layer and access data from the document layer so that we can avoid duplication in projects, databases, and data. There is a lot of maintenance to be done owing to the instability users may face every time because of the huge processing capacity as the company has around more than 50 nodes, which causes a lot of maintenance issues because of which a lot of people don't benefit from the platform as it functions in a slow manner. Informatica Enterprise Data Lake's setup process was complex since it doesn't support a lot of real-time systems. Every time, we have to find different tools we can use in our company with the solution since it doesn't support many real-time systems. Even if our company invests in some tools, Informatica Enterprise Data Lake creates too many small files with some issues, which we cannot read because we invested in HBase and Kudu, but performance-wise, the process is slow.

User-friendly interface facilitates efficient data migration and reduces operational overhead
Its usability and ease of use are standout features. It is really easy to use - almost too easy at times. Users don't have to be experts to use their tool set and utilize the clicking mechanisms, drop down boxes, and other features to build a package and run it. The configuration is very easy and the system is very stable. I would rate it at a 10 as it is highly reliable; we have never had any problems with it. Very little maintenance is required on my side. While you need to keep the product up to date, the maintenance requirements are minimal. SSIS integrates with all Microsoft tools seamlessly. We have used it against Oracle, DB2 and SQL. It integrates and can move data around from any data platforms, making it very diverse in that standpoint. It is a very robust tool that can work with many data sources, and its main strength is that it is extremely easy to use.

Decreases the development timeframe and costs
The main issue with the product is pricing. It uses core-based pricing for WSO2 Enterprise Integrator and API Manager. It would be best if you had APIM by default. It provides many connectors for easy integration with third-party systems. Often, customers decide to develop using open-source tools like Spring Boot if there aren't many connectors required to avoid increasing costs. They'll develop this way and then deploy using APIM, the bare minimum needed. It is mainly required for very complicated setups with many connectors. In the implementations I've seen, people often used open-source tools because there weren't many third-party systems involved—just their organization's own systems. From WSO2 Enterprise Integrator, I expect them to bring up more and more connectors in the future. That's the main expectation. Having more connectors in various areas will help us when discussing new requirements. I don't have any specific use case right now, so I can't name a particular connector. But, as new technologies emerge, the relevant connectors should be there for those. WSO2 Enterprise Integrator mainly helps with the integration part, which can be simplified only if you have relevant connectors for whatever you're doing.
