Have built an enterprise-level cloud data pipeline with reliable governance and integration
People use Informatica Enterprise Data Lake because we can create the whole journey from data migration projects from the legacy system to AWS and to the Lake architecture, covering the entire journey from the source to the landing zone, then to the curated zone, and finally consumed by both downstream and upstream applications. The main benefit of Informatica Enterprise Data Lake is that it allows you to use different types of data types, including blobs and storage; all types of data—structured, unstructured, and semi-structured—can exist in the Data Lake architecture, making it robust for retrieving data based on your filtration needs. Its value is actually governed by the client, who combined with our company and AWS, so we all work together to use the workspace and all these things for Informatica Enterprise Data Lake.

Achieves rapid results in data migration and has an intuitive user interface
I find SnapLogic to be user-friendly, especially for beginners with limited experience in data engineering or ETL. The interface is interactive, allowing me to quickly learn how to run pipelines and achieve production-ready results swiftly. This agility translates to cost savings, especially for smaller projects and proofs of concept, as less time and effort are needed to deliver results.

Pros

"The process of using the tool's scalability option is well documented."
"SnapLogic is a great platform for establishing integrations among various systems or patterns by using any kind of interface. If something is not supported by predefined snaps – snaps are connectors in SnapLogic – you can create them (custom snaps) or write a script."
"The solution is easy to implement and easy to use. It's basically just drag and drop."
"SnapLogice is a low-code development tool."
"The technical support from SnapLogic is excellent, and I would give it a complete ten."
"I found SnapLogic valuable and what I found most valuable about it was its ETL feature. I also found its automation feature valuable. It can be used for automating manual activities. It can be used as a middleware for certain transactional data processing and minimal datasets and ETL activities."
"An important tool for building prototypes and MVPs than can seamlessly turn into production jobs"
"I find SnapLogic to be user-friendly, especially for beginners with limited experience in data engineering or ETL."
"The solutions ability to connect "snaps" or components to the graphic user interface is very intuitive, prevents errors, and makes implementations easy."

Cons

"Informatica Enterprise Data Lake's setup process was complex since it doesn't support a lot of real-time systems."
"The support is the most important improvement they could make."
"I would like to see more performance-related dashboards, ones that display the cost of a pipeline, for instance. Also, it would be helpful to have management dashboards for overseeing pipelines and connections."
"It needs some more snaps. I would like to see some of the features be changed in some of the snaps."
"The solution isn't ideal for complex processing or logic. We use another solution for that."
"The biggest issue we have faced in our company with SnapLogic is regarding the EDI format"
"SnapLogic should have some inbuilt protocol mechanism in order to speed up."
"Connecting to data behind enterprise firewalls has been tricky."
"We'd like zero downtime in the future."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The licenses attached to the solution are highly priced."
"When comparing it with solutions like Apigee or MuleSoft, it still offers better value."
"SnapLogic is not expensive. It's reasonably priced."
"I used the free trial."
"From the ROI perspective, the price is extremely high"
"It is a higher initial cost than other easy-to-use integration apps."
