Work from anywhere and backup easily while being practical
I recommend Dropbox, yet not for all of the features it has. I am a basic user. In a personal mode, we have about 100 employees, and maybe 20 of them use Dropbox as a personal backup system. ShareFile is more secure than Dropbox. Five years ago, ShareFile was qualified as having better security control, access privilege management, and version control recovery, among many features that we were using for private documentation. Overall, I would rate Dropbox an eight out of ten.

Helps to run Python-based scripts but needs enhancement in user experience
The most important feature of the solution is the ability to run Python-based scripts.  Mode Analytics needs to improve the overall user experience.  I have been working with the solution for two years.  I rate the solution's stability a ten out of ten.  I rate the tool's scalability a seven…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The small business version gave us ample capacity."
"The features that I find most valuable are the ability to sync across devices, easily access/share files and organize them among myself and my team."
"Dropbox offers helpful functionalities for business purposes, such as receiving file requests from external parties like customers who don't have an account. Additionally, it includes features, such as reminders and workflow capabilities."
"Setting up DropBox is straightforward, and one person can do it in less than five minutes."
"The primary standout feature for me is the effortless synchronization across various devices."
"I like how user-friendly the solution is."
"For me, the biggest thing is version history. I can easily go back and view older versions."
"It is definitely stable. The main advantage of Dropbox is that you can see the files, and you can easily share them with all the team members. They can be accessed by whoever you give access to, and it is all secure. Dropbox is a seamless product. It provides you the privacy that you're looking for. Privacy is a major factor for my company, and Dropbox provides you that."
"The solution is simple for people from a viewing perspective, not a coding perspective."
"The most valuable feature I would say is the flexibility in editing."
"The tool helps to catch results and review them."
"The most important feature of the solution is the ability to run Python-based scripts."

Cons

"The solution lacks sufficient storage capabilities."
"I'd rate the scalability maybe a seven out of ten. Once I stop paying, it is an issue."
"The price is expensive for individual users."
"It would be good if they could market themselves as a safe solution for corporates. Currently, most corporates don't see it as a safe area to share within."
"I cannot edit a document at the same time as another user."
"We are moving to Microsoft Teams. Instead of Dropbox, we will be using Microsoft Teams that has the advantage of saving the versions. It supports file versioning so that you can always go back to the previous version if you want to. If somebody has made a change in one of the files and you don't know what changes have been made, you can always go back to the previous version. This feature led us to migrate to Microsoft Teams. With Dropbox, there is no option for simultaneous work. This feature is there in Google Files. In Microsoft Teams, you can invite team members to collaborate. That is the reason why I prefer Microsoft Teams over Dropbox. It should also have more integration with other solutions."
"Dropbox, like many file sharing tools, needs to synch to a local hard drive. That is a bit difficult with 5TB Dropbox content."
"The product must provide users with the ability to edit and modify documents."
"The data visualization is cumbersome in Mode Analytics. I want the solution to add a map that has an easy interface. The UI is slow sometimes."
"The solution could run faster."
"I think in terms of User Interface, I would say it can be better."
"Mode Analytics needs to improve the overall user experience."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I was using the free version of the product."
"The pricing for non-corporations is expensive. They have raised their prices and have low storage capacity."
"I am using the free solution, which provides me with 2GBs of storage, and for me, it's sufficient."
"Given the price and limitations, there are more competitive options available."
"We use a yearly license. The pricing is not a bad price. I'd rate it about a five out of ten, with ten being expensive and one being cheap."
"We are using the free version of Dropbox which has approximately two gigabytes of data capacity."
"Dropbox offers a freemium model which is very convenient and affordable. Beyond that, the pricing is favorable."
"Dropbox is one of the cheapest tools in the market."
"The pricing is per user."
"Mode Analytics is cheap compared to other tools."
"My decision-maker found the pricing expensive, but it is okay for me."
