Continuous monitoring has strengthened payment security and now reduces incident impact quickly
There are specific details that can be improved in Deepwatch. After implementing it, we tracked both response time and threat detection accuracy using the SIEM dashboard. We measured response time using MTTD and MTTR. There are areas that can be improved, such as every alert having a timestamp for detection time and acknowledgment. We observed the MTTR dropping from a few hours to under one hour after using Deepwatch, so baseline metrics can be enhanced. Deepwatch can reduce alert fatigue since sometimes it generates a high volume of alerts that overwhelm our team. This can create too many alerts in a short amount of time, making it hard for our team to understand what to do. Additionally, the dashboard can be improved for better user-friendliness for end-users, requiring better visualization of MTTR, threat trends, and risk scoring. Improvements can also be made in more automated playbooks for automated response to common threats, and there is room for deeper integration capabilities, as integration with some internal tools may require additional effort.

Centralized threat insights have transformed how my team prioritizes and investigates incidents
SentinelOne Wayfinder Threat Detection and Response is a strong platform overall, but there are areas for improvement. The reporting and dashboard customization could be more flexible to better suit different teams' needs. In some cases, having more detailed investigation guidance and clearer explanations for complex detections would help analysts, especially those who are new to the platform. I would also like to see broader integration with third-party security tools and additional customization options for alerts and workflows. These improvements would make it even easier to fit the platform into different security environments and operational processes. One area that could be improved is the availability of more advanced training resources and practical documentation. While the platform is user-friendly, having more detailed use case-based guides, troubleshooting examples, and hands-on learning materials would help teams get more value from the solution. Additional best practice documentation around threat investigation, workflow integration, and advanced features would also be helpful. Regular training sessions or updates with learning context would make it easier for administrators and analysts to stay current with new capabilities and improve their overall usage of the platform. One additional area for improvement would be providing more customization options for dashboard, reports, and workflow to better match different organizations and requirements. Enhanced automation options and more detailed guidance for complex threat investigation would also help teams get even more value from the platform. More frequent advanced training materials, real-world use cases, and updated documentation would be beneficial as new features are introduced. Overall, the platform is effective, but continued improvements in customization, learning resources, and investigation capabilities would make it even stronger.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Deepwatch positively impacts our organization by reducing incident response time because previously, there was no mechanism to follow up on incidents, such as any security breach in the payment gateway, and it has reduced response time by 40 to 60 percent while significantly improving threat detection accuracy with 24/7 monitoring even after business hours."
"One of the best features SentinelOne Wayfinder Threat Detection and Response offers is the Purple AI and behavioral detection capability, which is superior to traditional EDRs that rely solely on signatures."
"Stable solution for protecting, deploying, and managing endpoints, and comes with valuable features such as behavioral analytics and machine learning."
"SentinelOne has a rollback feature that has helped them gain popularity in the market. No other competitors of the solution including Cisco, Fortinet, or Cortex XDR have this feature. SentinelOne is a kernel-independent solution. We don’t need to check the kernel dependency on the Linux platform. They also commit to a 100 percent recovery from ransomware attacks. The solution has rollback features for ransomware on Windows."
"Valuable features in SentinelOne Wayfinder Threat Detection and Response are satisfactory, and compared to other solutions, we feel this is appropriate for our current needs."
"SentinelOne Wayfinder Threat Detection and Response is in good shape and is 99% reliable."
"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten...Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The most valuable feature is that it works and isn't compromised. Other solutions I have used have all been compromised and SentinelOne is the only one that hasn't been compromised as far as I understand."
"I would rate SentinelOne's customer service and support a five out of five."

Cons

"Deepwatch can reduce alert fatigue since sometimes it generates a high volume of alerts that overwhelm our team."
"There's no problem with how this product works, but the toughest challenge that customers find is with its deployment and tuning. Getting it tuned properly takes some time. You can deploy it with just about anything, but it's always a challenge."
"I have found issues with the solution’s stability and implementation. The solution has performance issues. I would like the solution to launch the rollback plan for ransomware on Linux and Mac. It should be something similar to the support that Windows gets."
"SentinelOne Wayfinder Threat Detection and Response is a strong solution, but it could be enhanced with more customizable dashboards and reporting, deeper integrations, third-party security rules, and additional automation options for incident response workflow."
"SentinelOne Wayfinder Threat Detection and Response is robust, but specific pain points that stand out are complexity for new users, alert overload, customization limits, performance on large environments, and support response times."
"My customers who use the tool mostly want a summary of the monitoring activities of the product in a report form...t can be useful for our customers to identify the threats and incidents encountered by the product."
"Occasionally during an update, customers may temporarily be without protection until the upgrade is complete."
"I think their technical support has some problems with scanning on the Linux machine, but other than that, everything is fine."
"Regarding disadvantages of SentinelOne Vigilance, there is no local hub server that I can use to download the updates and signatures only once."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The licensing cost depends on the number of connected devices and whether you purchase additional services."
"I give the cost a three out of ten."
"SentinelOne Vigilance is priced in a normal range."
"The solution’s pricing is very reasonable."
"I rate the solution's pricing a five out of ten since it is a very highly-priced solution."
"The tool's pricing is slightly cheaper than other alternatives. It's not just about licensing costs; because we already have it implemented, we can save money on deployment and initial setup. Additionally, SentinelOne Vigilance is slightly cheaper in licensing, maybe around 10-15 percent cheaper."
"I rate the product's pricing an eight out of ten since it is really expensive, but it is well worth what my company gets."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing an eight out of ten."
