Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It's pretty good as compared to other vendors.""The most valuable features of Juniper Ethernet Switches are the simple configuration and ruggedness.""The thing that sets Juniper apart from most switches is that when you're in the command line and you make a configuration change, you just write the command and then say "commit confirmed minutes". For example, I'm configuring a switch here in my office, which is five miles away, and I say, "commit confirmed 5". If I can't get back to the interface within five minutes to be able to make sure the switch came up, it rolls back to the previous configuration. This way I do not get locked out, or the switch doesn't get messed up because of the incorrect configuration. That's an automatic feature, which is pretty slick. I haven't seen that feature with other vendors that I've worked with. That's probably my most favorite feature.""The virtual Chassis feature for stacking is good in general, with high bandwidth for the link, which is good.""The security is good.""Both Juniper and Cisco switches are interoperable.""In terms of performance, Juniper switches have a more user-friendly interface and more features than Cisco products.""Juniper Ethernet Switches are high-end solutions."

"The solution is easy to use.""The initial setup is straightforward.""These switches are simple and easy to configure.""The initial setup of D-Link Ethernet Switches is very easy.""The initial setup is straightforward.""I can't find anything wrong with our D-Link Ethernet Switches.""The solution is scalable.""The product is simple to manage."

Cons
"We are not very pleased with their performance.""The Virtual Chassis Fabric is kind of complicated to troubleshoot sometimes. On the MPLS side, they're good — they're fine for the pseudo-wires and stuff—but they need more work on the LAN. It is difficult to troubleshoot their LAN technologies like Virtual Chassis.""Juniper Ethernet Switches' operating systems get corrupted when the power fails. They have to improve this issue. I may have to use a newer version.""The initial setup for Juniper switches is complex. Juniper has a new program that solves that problem a little bit, but it is expensive, so I don't use it. It is Juniper Mesh, Juniper Wire, or something like that where you plug in a switch, and it goes out to their cloud, finds a config, and brings it down. So, you can do everything cloud-based, but there is a fee for that. It is expensive, so I've never used it. If we were starting, we would try to do something like that. It is more for a large enterprise for managing hundreds of switches versus what we're doing. They should make its price more cost-effective or include it for new or smaller companies.""Wireless and monitoring definitely could be improved.""Stability could be better, especially during a reboot. We have had some issues recently with the software getting corrupt on reboot, which causes a lot of downtime.""Jupiter Switches' configuration is a little difficult to understand.""Juniper's support could be much better and faster."

More Juniper Ethernet Switches Cons →

"The solution needs better local support.""They need to have some more high-end switches.""They could be more stable. They were not as resistant as Cisco. After some time, some of them failed. This could be because we import quite a lot of products from different horizons, so there is no guarantee of quality. In Africa, these products don't always directly come from the manufacturer. We get these products from the Middle East or Asia. Therefore, you cannot be sure that the quality is exactly similar to what you have in Europe or America.""In a future release, the solution could improve by being more secure and allowing the configuration of each port.""We have issues with the stability.""This solution is not good for distribution at the core.""The technical support needs a lot of improvement.""The D-Link Ethernet Switches have to be replaced because they are difficult to manage and security is poor. They should add centralized manageability to make the solution better, it will allow administrators to better know what is happening on the network."

More D-Link Ethernet Switches Cons →

"Documentation and access to it could be greatly improved.""You do need to be an IT person in order to handle the initial setup. An AV person would struggle a bit.""The documentation could be improved; it's quite basic."
