The rule creation, monitoring, and inspection profiles are great
We use Fortinet firewalls for perimeter security at six to seven of our locations It provides extreme perimeter security, especially for VPN and application profiles, and seamless security monitoring through FortiAnalyzer. As a firewall the solution is great, we never had any issues. We saw time…

Does not use up many resources, performs well, and protects the endpoints from cyber attacks
The solution is used to protect our endpoints. It can be used for computers and mobile devices The solution automatically protects the endpoints from any antivirus and cyber attacks. The solution runs in the background, and I do not need to care about it. I'm quite satisfied with it. The UI is…

Continuously adapts to threats, uses machine learning, and integrates well
Trend Micro Apex One has been doing a good job protecting our endpoints against malware and malicious scripts. We have not had to deal with any threats. Apex One boasts advanced protection capabilities that continuously adapt to safeguard against previously unknown and deceptive new threats. The ability to adapt to evolving threats is crucial, especially considering the surge in new variants, including zero-day attacks. It detects ransomware using machine learning. This capability is important to defend against ransomware attacks. The solution provides a single console for cross-layer detection for threat hunting and investigations. This is particularly helpful for gaining visibility across multiple platforms. Apex One is integrated with our other security products. It is easy to learn. Updating the solution is also easy. I have experience with previous versions of Trend Micro so for me administering Apex One is easy. Apex One has protected our organization from threats. Apex One provides virtual patching before patches are available for the source of the issue. The virtual patching helps minimize risk until the patch is ready. Since using Apex One, we have seen a reduction in viruses and malware by 50 percent. We use Apex One as a service and this has helped save our staff five percent of their time. Apex One has reduced our administrative overhead by five percent.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Fortinet has helped free up around 20 percent of our staff's time to help us out."
"Fortinet FortiEDR's scalability is quite good, and you can add licenses to the solution."
"I like FortiClient EMS. FortiEDR has a lot of great features like lockdown mode, remote wipes, and encryption. I can set malware outbreak policies and controls for detecting abnormalities. You can also simulate phishing attacks."
"he solution is an anti-malware product that integrates well with other vendor products such as firewalls, SIEM, etc. It captures threat intelligence and gives you better visibility. The product also has sandboxing features."
"The product's initial setup phase is very easy."
"The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers."
"It is very easy to set up. I would rate my experience with the initial setup a ten out of ten, with ten being very easy to set up."
"Additionally, when it comes to EDR, there are more tools available to assist with client work."
"The most valuable features of CylancePROTECT are its powerful machine-learning capabilities and predictive intelligence."
"I've found the AI engine in CylancePROTECT to be particularly effective for technology and in preventing unknown threats."
"The CylancePROTECT agent is very low on CPU usage, so it has virtually no adverse impact on my servers, desktops, or workstations."
"Specifically for a Windows domain environment, the product can be customized and pushed via GPO or SCCM without issue."
"I find the actual overall endpoint malware protection the most valuable feature of CylancePROTECT."
"The most functional item that we use is the process to turn off the false flags that it causes."
"It is a good endpoint solution. It is very easy to manage and detect the threat immediately. It will take the necessary actions."
"Centralized dashboard online which can be used for managing a huge product."
"It's easier to integrate Apex One than Kaspersky. It also performs well, and the customer feedback has been positive."
"One of the better features, in my opinion, is that it also makes use of a web reputation. For example, if someone accidentally clicks on a link in an email that leads to a malicious website, they will block it."
"The antivirus itself is also lightweight. It does not hamper the performance. It is not resource-hungry. It does not impact the overall performance of the device. It is just there, and it is easy to use."
"The most valuable feature is the behavior monitoring."
"Its threat-hunting capabilities and the information about the known threats are the most available features. It can easily catch any threat in our environment."
"The features that I have found most valuable are the endpoint security with the zero-day vulnerability. They have an on-premise sandboxing solution which prevents any of those zero-day vulnerability issues."
"The ease of deployment is one of its most valuable features."
"It's reduced administrative overhead."

Cons

"There's room for improvement in the quick response time and technical support for integration issues, especially when dealing with multiple vendors."
"We've encountered challenges during API deployment, occasionally resulting in unstable environments."
"The solution is not stable."
"I would like the solution to extend beyond endpoint protection and include other attack surfaces such as other network components."
"The SIEM could be improved."
"We find the solution to be a bit expensive."
"Cannot be used on mobile devices with a secure connection."
"It takes about two business days for initial support, which is too slow in urgent situations."
"I would say one thing that they might need to bring in is protection for mobile devices."
"Having worked with SentinelOne, Cylance is good, however, it probably needs to add a feature similar to SentinelOne's rollback functionality. With this feature, if you get infected, with a click, you can go back to the pre-infection state. If Cylance could add this functionality to their offering as well, that would be ideal."
"rom my experience interacting with the primary or the central administrative console, it's quite complex. You would need a fair bit of technical experience to set it up, implement and maintain it. That would be one area for improvement."
"The product does not do a lot of reporting on what it is taking care of. Enhanced reporting would be a welcome improvement."
"It's a good solution but some features just need to be updated."
"It could have integration with industrial base HMIS or Human Machine Interfaces Solutions. This is the industrial environment where you have a control center for all the automation that's happening, whether it is oil, gas, or chemical manufacturing. They often have to set up a computer at the back and watch the other stuff to get alerts. In these autonomous or on-premises environments, they often don't have access to email readily. Integration with other industrial solutions, such as HMIS, will allow them to communicate and get an alert that something has been found. This way, they can react to it sooner than having somebody watch the screen and keep checking the screen. Rockwell has its own suite. Similarly, Honeywell has its own suite. There's also an independent HMI/historian solution provider out there called VTSCADA. We actually get asked if we can get it to show up on a screen, which is difficult. Getting those alerts to work within an industrial environment would be a huge plus."
"It should provide more details about the events that they have detected."
"Reporting is an area with shortcomings in CylancePROTECT that needs to be improved."
"The integration could improve in this solution."
"One of our firewalls once detected a threat, but Apex One did not detect it."
"The solution should adjust its pricing for the smaller market we are in."
"It would be great it can support endpoint encryption."
"There is room for improvement in the behavior filtering and control of Trend Micro."
"I am expecting an Apple featured IDLP solution with OfficeScan, where we have only IDLP. Also, the ADR functionality in our Office Scan solution would be a nice addition. Genrally, the ADR solutions are the only failed ends of the solutions we have found with Trend Micro."
"There is a need for enhancement in certain reporting formats."
"Could channel video more efficiently."

"I think that this product is expensive."
"The price for Trend Micro is reasonable."
