A stable solution that makes use of artificial intelligence while also providing container technology to its users
I rate the initial setup phase of the product a nine on a scale of one to ten, where one is difficult, and ten is easy. The solution is deployed on the cloud and on-premises. When I say that it is deployed on the cloud, I mean to say that I use it as an MSSP service, allowing us to keep the administrative portal with us, because of which it doesn't actually get deployed on the cloud. Our company administers the product remotely. The solution can be deployed in half an hour.

A highly stable and easy-to-deploy product that keeps organizations safe
The product keeps our company safe Recently, a user tried to open an unsafe link, and Malwarebytes stopped them. They kept trying and trying, but they could not open it. Later, it turned out to be a fake Microsoft account. So far, we have faced no issues with the product. It is doing what it…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The big advantage is that it has a sandbox if something bad comes into it."
"The tool is an open-source EDR with antivirus features. It also has remote support and patch management."
"Comodo Advanced Endpoint Protection allows our organization's clients to be managed and inventoried remotely."
"It's a very easy-to-use product."
"It is a very stable solution, making it an excellent product."
"Auto Containment is a valuable feature."
"The most valuable feature is the management of end-user machines."
"It's stable and reliable."
"The solution is very good at scanning."
"I like the solution's ability to detect potentially unwanted programs. For some reason, it seems superior to other solutions, or at least in comparison to McAfee."
"The platform is straightforward to install."
"Being able to cloud manage it from just a cloud login is valuable. We can get to it from anywhere, which is really helpful. The fact that we can remediate from the cloud console is one of our favorite features."
"The solution has a good management interface."
"I never have to look at it or do anything with it, and then my system just stays clean."
"The most valuable features of Malwarebytes are the EDR and the complete feature set provided."
"The endpoint protection and response that allows us to restore a machine back to a pre-infected state are the most valuable features."

Cons

"Their support is not very good because they are very late to reply."
"The solution's online documentation needs to be fine-tuned. It is not up to which solution currently has. There is some inconsistency in the knowledge present. I would like to see MDM in the solution's future releases."
"They need to just modernize the infrastructure with something that is next-generation. We have recently moved to SentinelOne. It had been doing good for us for a while, but we needed something modern with new technology."
"Comodo Advanced Endpoint Protection could improve by extending its auto containment feature to Mac and Linux systems since it currently only supports Windows."
"Would be good to have a better understanding of what it is that you've got in quarantine."
"We'd like the solution to include advanced web filtering capabilities, similar to what Sophos offers."
"The quality of the analysis and the product dashboard is a bit low compared to other providers."
"The licensing fees are high. The company should work to try to lower them for the customer."
"The product could be improved in blocking malicious traffic, such as communication with known malicious IP addresses."
"Strictly in terms of cyber security, the release cycle should be quarterly, at most. It shouldn't be more frequent than that because, for one thing, keeping up with tech support is difficult."
"The product's stability needs improvement."
"The product has major problems in almost every facet of setup and use including setup, configuration, lack of functionality, lack of stability, false positives, questionable reporting, inability to protect from randsomeware and poor technical support and development."
"Requires increased efficiency in terms of detecting false positives."
"It would be better if updates could be downloaded, and deployed, on-premises to avoid low bandwidth causing issues."
"The reporting is not as flexible as you would find with other antivirus software."
"The EPP solution lacks the sophisticated artificial intelligence required for automating reports and letting you know about things in real-time. It stops a suspicious activity in real-time, but it doesn't let you know in real-time. You have to look at a report, and then you find out that something is wrong. You have to manually kick off a scan. With the Advanced EDR solutions, Malwarebytes has the ability to alert you in real-time, but they still don't do automatic remediation or quarantining of devices. That is something that you still have to do manually. So, the endpoint protection piece, which is just like their basic endpoint protection, lacks AI. For the advanced detection and response piece, there is an add-on that comes with it, but it still doesn't go far enough in terms of automatic remediation of viruses. It won't separate that virus from your network if something happens. You have to manually go there and do it."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product is very reasonably priced."
"The tool's pricing is not very expensive and falls within the market price. The solution's licensing is on a yearly basis."
"Comodo Advanced Endpoint Protection is inexpensive."
"It's a cost-effective solution"
"The product is pricey."
"Generally, the cost is between $16 and $19 per endpoint."
"It was about 35 or 40 bucks per year for the endpoint."
"I rate Comodo’s pricing a four out of ten."
"We expect to pay $1,000 USD a month, depending on the number of users."
"The cost may be something in the ballpark of $20-25 a year per computer."
"The licensing is per seat, with clients being a little less expensive than servers. If we need more licenses, we can accomplish that within a day. As Malwarebytes adds new features to their product, such as DNS filtering and a patching module, they want to charge us more even though we're a premium user, which isn't ideal."
"The platform pricing is competitive with other antivirus products."
"It is really expensive. We've got between 30 and 40 licenses every year, and for the number of licenses that we have, we're finding that Malwarebytes on average costs between $900 and $1,000 more per year than comparable options. We're paying about $3,300 per year for these licenses. There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fee."
"I would say that it's affordable. It costs much less than Sentinel One, CrowdStrike, or anything of that nature. But, at the same time, you are getting what you pay for. So I would say it's one of the best when you're comparing traditional NextGen AVs like Webroot that aren't the best in the bunch."
"I believe the retail price is between $40 and $50 per copy."
"The price of Malwarebytes is in the middle range compared to other vendors."
