Organizing research experiments has improved and supports faster model comparison and learning
My experience with Comet has been very positive, but there are a few areas where it could be improved. One area is the learning curve for new users. Some of the more advanced features can feel overwhelming at first, especially for students who are new to machine learning experiment tracking. More beginner-friendly tutorials and guided onboarding would help. I would also like to see more customization options for dashboards and visualizations, making it easier to create views tailored to specific projects. Another improvement would be deeper integration with commonly used collaboration tools, which would streamline project documentation and team workflows. There are a few additional areas where Comet could improve. From a performance perspective, I occasionally notice that dashboards with a large number of experiments can take longer to load or navigate. Regarding documentation, while the available resources are helpful, I would appreciate more beginner-focused examples, step-by-step tutorials, and real-world use cases. For support, my experience has generally been good, but having more community resources, discussion forums, webinars, or educational content specifically aimed at students and researchers would be valuable.

Generates close to real-time alerts so users can resolve issues, but needs more integration and public cloud monitoring features
As Zenoss Service Dynamics is more for network-centric devices and you want to monitor, for example, a server, its services, IP addresses, and interfaces, if it's a network and you're going to monitor multiple items, you'll be charged multiple times. This is what Zenoss Service Dynamics needs to improve to make sure that customers pay just one fee to monitor the entire server. What I'd like to see in Zenoss Service Dynamics in the future is a public cloud monitoring feature, particularly for the Azure public cloud. Another additional feature I'd like to see in the next release of the solution is integration with the Azure public cloud because I know that there are some services from Azure that Zenoss Service Dynamics is currently unable to monitor.

Pros

"Model metric tracking and comparison has been extremely beneficial, and Comet's customer service has also been excellent—any issue we've had, they have been able to help us resolve."
"Comet's return on investment is evident through significant time reduction, which is the most crucial factor I have observed."
"Comet has positively impacted my organization by making work easier and faster."
"Comet has positively impacted my organization by definitely reducing my manual work."
"I estimate I spend around thirty to forty percent less time organizing and comparing experiment results compared to manual tracking."
"The AI capabilities that have been integrated into the tool and the solutions it provides makes it appealing to my customers."
"I feel that I save about one hour of work per day thanks to Comet."
"Comet has positively impacted my organization because it's a good system, and the interface is really simple and easy to use, which allows everyone to have a look at these health and safety investigations, of course, if they have access through the company itself."
"The product offers good documentation that helps with initial training."
"Overall, it's a great solution, and I consider it to be one of the best."
"It is very cost-effective compared to the tools I worked with in the past."
"Its Docker Container concept is mind blowing. It is the first monitoring tool which comes with Docker features."
"With this solution, they can have one million users at the same time with no crashes."
"It is the most flexible solution of this type, but it takes time to adapt."
"It's easy to use."
"Zenoss is more complex than LogicMonitor, but scalable and hugely customizable."

Cons

"I have identified some areas for improvement in Comet, particularly regarding high-quality prompting for AI questions."
"I feel that Comet needs to enhance security; I believe we could be hacked, risking information leaks."
"Some areas I believe Comet can improve include scalability limits, as I face challenges when scaling."
"SageMaker itself has a cumbersome interface, which makes launching Comet somewhat of a hassle."
"Comet can be improved by being more stable and providing security features similar to Brave."
"The only thing I wish for is that Comet runs a bit slower than I would prefer."
"Many times we need to look out for different high parameterized fine-tuned models and we need to have high capabilities of browsing scenarios as well, and that is where it is lagging."
"From a performance perspective, I occasionally notice that dashboards with a large number of experiments can take longer to load or navigate."
"There is room for improvement with the administrative part. They introduced Control Center to manage things in Zenoss 5. The services that Zenoss provides remained the same, but the administrative part, since they introduced Docker, etc., has become a little complex"
"This solution is complex for beginners so it takes some time to learn."
"It would be ideal if the product offered sound alerts."
"There was a problem with Zenoss and storage monitoring."
"The AI aspect needs to improve."
"Technical support is 3/10, poor: Incomplete and poor documentation Undocumented processes Inconsistent solutions to problems depending on source"
"Now it is stable, but they should design threshold parameters in percentage instead of raw values."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"It is very cost-effective compared to the tools I worked with in the past. The company is gaining a lot with respect to the cost factor. It provides agentless monitoring and in a very cheap way."
"There are additional costs you'll have to pay apart from the license fee for Zenoss Service Dynamics. I can't remember exactly how much my company is paying because I don't handle the finance part, but the cost is paid annually. On a scale of one to five, with one being the cheapest and five being the most expensive, I'm rating the solution three out of five."
"It depends on the customer, what he wants."
"The pricing depends on the environment, the number of services, and the size of the data center. It can go from $100,000 to a million dollars."
