Very easy to schedule jobs and monitor them, however we run out heap space even with a high allocation

Automation has transformed daily operations and now delivers faster, more accurate data flows
The best features in SnapLogic are the drag-and-drop interface which makes it easy to build data and application flows. No heavy coding is required, making it ideal for both technical and non-technical users. SnapLogic also offers pre-built snaps, real-time and batch processing, API management and integration, cloud and hybrid support, dashboarding and monitoring, error handling and retry mechanisms, scalability, security and governance, and transformation capabilities with built-in functions to clean and transform data, expressions, aggregations, and mappings. SnapLogic offers auto-mapping and smart schema detection as additional features. SnapLogic can detect schemas automatically, which helps when sources evolve or change, and this matters because there is less manual mapping work.

Pros

"Familiar, intuitive GUI coming from a Java development background, in-depth, descriptive, and well-laid-out documentation, responsive support through forums directly from Clover staff, a wealth of customizable pre-defined components, descriptive logging for error messages, and ease of install with a light footprint make it very effective to use."
"We switched to CloverETL because of its flexibility to connect to various data sources and no dependence on native language and ease of use."
"Connectivity to various data sources: The ability to extract data from different data sources gives greater flexibility."
"Server features for scheduler: It is very easy to schedule jobs and monitor them. The interface is easy to use."
"No dependence on native language and ease of use."
"Key features include wealth of pre-defined components; all components are customizable; descriptive logging, especially for error messages."
"I find SnapLogic to be user-friendly, especially for beginners with limited experience in data engineering or ETL."
"Due to this automation, I see better results compared to the manual ones because the logic I have added to the automation is more specific and more static."
"Overall, SnapLogic is a very good tool and from a practical standpoint, it delivers integration quickly, reduces manual work, lowers dependency on multiple tools, and improves team productivity, helping us to move faster."
"The solution has solved many problems for our customers and has improved their operations."
"I find the reusability and the snaps to be very valuable features."
"An important tool for building prototypes and MVPs than can seamlessly turn into production jobs"
"Everything is very good; it's good for mapping for the company, we have a lot of use cases that we can apply to this solution, and they are very good at building out new aspects according to customer requirements."
"The solutions ability to connect "snaps" or components to the graphic user interface is very intuitive, prevents errors, and makes implementations easy."

Cons

"Resource management: We typically run out of heap space, and even the allocation of high heap space does not seem to be enough."
"Needs easier automated failure recovery, more and more intuitive auto-generated or filled-in code for components, and easier or more automated sync between CloverETL Designer and CloverETL Server."
"Its documentation could be improved."

"Resource management: We typically run out of heap space, and even the allocation of high heap space does not seem to be enough."
"There is room for improvement of API management and the dashboard for task execution."
"If the AI capabilities and integrations were more intuitive and easy for new users to learn, it would be greatly beneficial."
"Connecting to data behind enterprise firewalls has been tricky, but for reasons that SnapLogic cannot always control."
"Sometimes there are glitches when moving a design pipeline from the development to production environment."
"I don't think the support has better knowledge about technologies and tool support. There were lots of times when we had an issue, and it took me quite a long time to explain the problem. I feel like some of the support staff don't know their product well."
"While SnapLogic is powerful, there are several areas for improvement that could enhance user experience."
"One thing is that if there is any error, it is not detecting the error directly in the main pipeline. Rather, I have to backtrace to the child pipeline and then go to the designer and check the error."
"While it performs well, there is some room for improvement in this area."
