Cloud security assessments have improved cost control and vulnerability management across clients
The alerting system could be explored further, as it would help users integrate the alerting system more effectively. Additionally, an AI feature would be beneficial, as AI is prevalent nowadays and could integrate into environments to help customers. I would particularly like to see the AI feature added to CloudSphere so it automatically integrates into our environment and generates comprehensive reports, which would decrease workload from the engineer's perspective. If CloudSphere integrates AI and guides users on which security compliance they need to follow, AI could automatically scan everything and provide a report stating which areas need improvement and what points require attention.

Centralized dashboards have optimized multi-cloud costs and improved financial governance
VMWare Tanzu CloudHealth is a powerful cloud management platform, but there are areas for improvement. I would prefer to see more AI-driven insights that not only recommend optimization but also suggest automated remediation actions. Real-time cost synchronization could be faster, as billing data sometimes has delays. More customized dashboards and report templates would help teams tailor their needs better. Kubernetes cost visibility could be more granular for centralized workloads. Integration with ITSM and automation tools such as ServiceNow and Ansible could be enhanced. Simplifying initial onboarding and policy configuration would also improve the experience for new users. These enhancements would make the platform even more efficient for enterprise cloud operations. This tool is a mature and relevant cloud management platform with several areas that could be enhanced. I would prefer to see more advanced AI capabilities providing predictive insights and automated remediation for common optimization tasks. Better, faster synchronization of cloud billing and utilization data would enable near real-time cost monitoring. I want more customizable dashboards and executive reports tailored for different stakeholders such as FinOps, infrastructure, and management teams. Improving Kubernetes container cost visibility at the pod level is also necessary. I would prefer to see stronger AI-driven automation, faster real-time cost updates, more customizable dashboards, deeper Kubernetes cost visibility, enhanced DevOps integrations, and a simpler onboarding process as areas needing improvement. These enhancements would further increase operational efficiency and make the platform more valuable for enterprise cloud management.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"CloudSphere is a good solution that works well and can integrate with multiple clouds and manage all our customers."
"The scalability of the solution is a godsend."
"The product is helpful for the management, optimization, and utilization of resources."
"CloudSphere is very mature and very effective."
"When I started using CloudSphere, it wasn't mature, and it had multiple issues. For example, my team experienced server issues while using the solution, but recently, I noticed how much CloudSphere has improved. There used to be some latency issues with CloudSphere. It even gave error messages in the past when you select an option such as "the web server is not responding", but it has improved a lot, and now I don't get any errors from CloudSphere. What I like best about CloudSphere is that it has a lot of beneficial features, and it has a single pane for managing multi-cloud environments, which I find very helpful, and it's the main benefit you can get from CloudSphere."
"To others, if a company is looking for a security vulnerability tool or governance and policy tools that help improve their environment, I would recommend CloudSphere because it is very helpful, easy to use, user interactive, and provides many functions and features."
"We do not need to install any appliances or any agents."
"Provides multiple kinds of services for managing the clouds of multiple customers."
"We have some experience with RackWare and Red Hat, and right now I believe this solution to be number one in the market."
"The solution is good for cloud cost management."
"VMWare Tanzu CloudHealth has helped me achieve twenty to thirty percent cloud cost optimization and save thirty to forty percent of the time."
"VMWare Tanzu CloudHealth is a very good product, it helps me to improve the management and the overview of the cloud loads and it fulfills all my needs."
"With this, we have right-sized many instances, removed many unused EBS volumes, and unused Elastic IPs, and in that way, we have cut around 20% of cost."
"We use dashboards quite heavily, but one of the features that have really stood out is some of the policies we've created to alert us of particular situations."
"This solution is fast and very easy to understand, even if you are not a technician."
"The most valuable thing I have found is the cost saving recommendations."

Cons

"When we start the scanning of, for example, 500 servers, it will not handle the scan. We need to differentiate the jobs - for example, one job for 100 servers, a second job for another 100 servers, et cetera."
"The next feature I would like to have full disclosure of what's being done with the data."
"The alerting system could be explored further, as it would help users integrate the alerting system more effectively."
"One of the cons of this product is that it will not discover all the applications running."
"CloudSphere is not keeping up with the pace of the cloud and there are a number of services that can't be deployed using CloudSphere."
"The solution must have a single management console for the resources and VMs."
"Their customer support leaves a lot to be desired. The standards are not that great."
"The main issue I experienced from CloudSphere was recently resolved, but an area for improvement in the solution is that it lacks the functionality of migrating resources from one public cloud to another. If CloudSphere could provide that functionality, that would be very beneficial to users and companies."
"Apptio Cloudability has better granular visibility of data that is missing in CloudHealth."
"I have not seen a return on investment with VMWare Tanzu CloudHealth, as it is a monitoring tool."
"I would like to see better integration from CloudHealth to create an easier setup and implementation."
"CloudHealth needs to start building out Turbonomics-types of features that help the customers who are using CloudHealth really understand everything down to the server level, the virtual machine level."
"When you start to virtualize things it gets very expensive."
"The export features regarding CSV files and specifically around identifying savings plans have room for improvement, as well as the drill-down features for reservation utilization."
"It would be helpful to have a mobile version or a tablet version, especially for people who are outside of the office."
"The solution doesn't offer the best functionality, unfortunately. Some features just simply aren't on offer. The solution needs to offer more product milestones."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It depends on how that model will be used. It might be anywhere between $4 and $15 per license per month. It’s less expensive than other options."
"The product is very expensive."
"The pricing is competitive and while other products are good they are considerably more expensive."
"The licensing fees depend on how big the company is. If you are a larger company then you have a better contract with a better price. The price is different for a small company."
"I give the cost of the solution an eight out of ten."
"There could be flexibility in pricing for the product."
"CloudHealth has a subscription-based model."
