Proactive threat insights have protected our brand and exposed hidden external attack paths
CloudSEK XVigil's best features include threat intelligence capabilities, malware logs, and information on credential breaches, along with identification of fake mobile apps that might expose our entities or claim to be authenticated as a Birlasoft application. The product also includes an SSL scanner, network scanner, and web application scanner, and is useful for safeguarding code-related repositories, especially if someone has created a GitHub repository and possibly forgot to secure it. Additional features that stand out are the social media discussion monitoring provided, keeping us informed about positive and negative happenings related to brand protection, as well as data leak protection monitoring and infrastructure threat-related protection. They offer deep and dark web monitoring, which is a huge benefit for us, making it a good product. CloudSEK XVigil has positively impacted our organization by providing good features. While investigating incidents, it delivers a brief summary of what is happening in a short term with the help of AI-enabled features. CloudSEK XVigil has great capabilities around the portal, and they help us significantly.

Continuous attack surface monitoring has improved risk visibility and protected our brand
Fortinet FortiRecon will benefit from stronger bi-directional integration with other tools such as SIEM and XDR from companies like Cisco, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto Networks. Fortinet FortiRecon needs improvement with integration with vulnerability management platforms, for example, Tenable, Qualys, SIEM, SOAR systems, and endpoint detection platforms. While it provides strong external visibility, tighter orchestration and automated remediation workflows can enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual coordination between teams. Improved reporting customization and risk scoring transparency would also benefit executive-level reporting and prioritization. External attack surface monitoring is no longer optional in a modern enterprise, and it is essential from my professional perspective. When integrated into governance, vulnerability management, and SOC workflows, Fortinet FortiRecon enables proactive risk reduction by identifying exposed assets, brand abuse, and leaked credentials. However, Fortinet FortiRecon could improve in terms of deeper integration, automation, and correlation with internal security controls and vulnerability management platforms.
