Has improved infrastructure management with customizable reporting and automated deployment
Cisco Catalyst Center's reporting is one of the best features, providing graphs and quick hit analysis in one place instead of having to search elsewhere. Historical data can be stored in Cisco Catalyst Center, and dashboards and widgets can be configured to personal preference. Device deployment can be automated to the point where all someone needs to do is plug it in. Zero Touch Provisioning, while requiring some initial work to set up properly, provides significant benefits. Once configured, it reduces the need for travel by specific network personnel, allowing on-site or other staff to handle device deployment by simply plugging in the cable.

High scalability network management with centralized control and an intuitive interface that provides efficient monitoring and configuration capabilities
A centralized platform is crucial for efficiently managing all of our switches, which were previously handled individually, leading to significant challenges. This unified dashboard simplifies tasks like simultaneous switch upgrades, streamlining the process. It enables us to create reports that monitor site statuses, including uptime and downtime, which helps us evaluate each site's monthly uptime and assess its revenue potential based on operational time.

Pros

"Cisco's technical support is excellent."

"What I appreciate most about Cisco Catalyst Center is that it is a product which I am deploying to work."
"Cisco Catalyst switches are reliable and stable."
"The architecture and the way Cisco designs it, VXLAN and Cisco Express Forwarding are some of the features I like."

"Cisco Catalyst Center allows me to manage all the fabric SD Access from one location."

"For edge switching, this product is fantastic."
"The most valuable feature is the technical support, as it is better than others."
"The most valuable feature is the management from a single pane of glass."
"Junos Space creates one pane of glass managing your switching, routing, and security infrastructure as long as you have the modules for it."

Cons

"Some documentation or use cases are not clear enough."
"My experience with deploying Cisco Catalyst Center had one challenge where we couldn't find enough documentation because one of our nodes went down. So we had to rebuild our entire Catalyst."

"The price to get in the door is quite high."
"Regarding the cons of Catalyst, it is a little more expensive. With other vendors, you have one license for all features. In the case of Catalyst, there are many licensing options."

"The upgrades are very time-consuming and difficult, and they often have to rebuild the product."
"Its interface should be improved and enhanced to offer various functions, with flexible pricing"
"I would like to see Space created to fully functional, where it's got multiple modules, particularly SD-WAN working on Corporate, or maybe become part of the Orchestrator portion."
"I feel like it's been taking a back burner to other things, and I think that they're trying to go different routes."
