I rate Check Point Antivirus nine out of ten because sometimes the SMB devices face issues unless the new firmware is updated, which is problematic during production.

Check Point should improve on their patch management by releasing patches more frequently, such as on a weekly basis, to stay ahead of potential vulnerabilities.
A more transparent way for the support team at Huntress and our IT team to collaborate to make it faster and easier would be beneficial.
Since we support customers in different countries, expanding the language options for their training would be beneficial.
Their EDR is pretty mature in terms of what it does.

Huntress Managed EDR provides cost-effective pricing with transparent billing, appealing to enterprises despite incremental price increases.
In terms of pricing, the Check Point device is costlier than my previous SMB device, but the value I get from this particular Check Point device is worth the price I pay.
The pricing for Check Point Antivirus is a bit higher compared to other vendors or standalone antivirus options.
The savings from utilizing the included Windows Defender offset the cost of Huntress Managed EDR, making it an affordable solution overall.
It is not too expensive or too cheap. It is just right.
It can get expensive for small to medium businesses if large license quantities are not purchased.

Valuable Features

Check Point Antivirus offers real-time threat detection, seamless integration, and comprehensive protection, enhancing cybersecurity without impacting system performance.
Huntress Managed EDR offers 24/7 threat-hunting, easy deployment, and robust protection, effectively replacing traditional antivirus solutions.
In terms of improving the security posture of our cloud environment, Netskope CASB does a good job in identifying malware and the DLP part is excellent because it's able to look at the file and classify the data accurately, so it effectively identifies sensitive data.
Check Point Antivirus has positively impacted my organization by having a pre-inbuilt antivirus, which is stored within the Check Point devices, scanning each endpoint device connected to the firewall.
It scans the issue, and after scanning, it gives me a report via email stating the affected IP address and the system impacted by this particular threat, which I can monitor on the GUI.
What stands out most is their human element: when faced with an unknown threat, real people, not just automated processes, are investigating it, and they're people we trust.
They provide detailed remediation steps, explaining why an issue is a problem and what steps to take.
Previously, I could not modify it unless I had special Microsoft licensing, so it was beneficial to control Windows Defender through a central console to add policies and things like that.

Improved network security through detailed device tracking and proactive threat management
The best features that Check Point Antivirus offers are numerous, especially its ability to segregate each device into partitions on the same page, showing all connected devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, laptops, and cameras. It provides details like the brand name, model name, host name, IP address, and MAC address in differentiated categories, allowing for easy tracking of what devices are connected to the internet. This is a significant positive aspect of Check Point Antivirus that many other devices lack, and it aids in day-to-day work. With our limited internet IP scope of only 512 IPs, users often connect multiple devices like two phones, two tablets, and smartwatches to the internal network. At times like this, I, as an IT admin, can log in and block specific mobile devices and peripherals, excluding laptops, desktops, access points, and switches, to free up IPs. Check Point Antivirus has positively impacted my organization by having a pre-inbuilt antivirus, which is stored within the Check Point devices, scanning each endpoint device connected to the firewall. When a threat is detected on any devices connected to the internal network, Check Point Antivirus provides immediate pop-up alerts before a user even notices the issue, keeping users informed and advising them to refrain from connecting their devices to other networks within the organization.

Never misses anything and has an attractive price point and a simple interface
One thing they could improve is evolving from an EDR to an MDR, like Blackpoint. This transition would enable automatic remediation of anything that looks dangerous, including within Microsoft 365. For instance, when one of my clients' Microsoft 365 account was breached, Blackpoint identified suspicious activity and disabled the account. It was in Dallas, and we are in California. Blackpoint knew something was wrong there, and they went in and disabled the account. Developing more automated remediation features would elevate them to an MDR level, but I understand that it might affect pricing. They are trying to keep it at a good price point because once they go to MDR, it is probably going to double the price. For now, I find the current features satisfactory, as they continue to add improvements. They have added security awareness training and then log collectors. They are adding pillars as they move along, and I assume they are going to have an option for MDR.
