We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It is available in all flavors. You can use it in the browser, and you can use it on an Android phone for which a BlueJeans app is available. I use an Android phone, so I only know about Android. So, you can join a meeting from the application installed on your phone or from the mobile browser, or you can use it from a laptop or a PC.""The main advantage is the ability to host large meetings with up to 500 participants. The sound quality is also better on BlueJeans. I find it pretty intuitive and user-friendly.""It is really easy and there are no complicated graphics or icons. It is simple and has an intuitive design. It's user-friendly over anything else I have used.""The quality of both audio and video is good."

"It is super easy to use and relatively inexpensive.""The unattended access functionality is a valuable feature, because I can go in at any time that I want, deploy fixes, or do maintenance.""The initial setup is fairly straightforward.""Remote connect via webpage. I use it to support employees when I am not in the office or when they are at a remote location.""Valuable features include the responsiveness, ability to tune up and tune down the connection, and video.""It's very easy to use. Provides connections that are always on. It was nice to be able to see a list of end-points and see whether or not they were connected so I could troubleshoot any network issues I had.""The ConnectWise ScreenConnect tool is very good for remote access.""We like the fact that on our website we can have the ConnectWise bit embedded, and it has instructions for the end-user about what they need to do. Previously, on LogMeIn, we used to have to almost talk them through everything... ConnectWise has step-by-step instructions, depending on the browser."

Cons
"Its cost is very high. If you sell it in India, which is a price-conscious market, the prices should be as per the market competition. You cannot charge the rates that are applicable in the US. They should tailor it to the local market. It should be in line with what the competition is offering.""Screen sharing is available but there is no feature for remote access, to take control of another machine.""BlueJeans doesn't allow as much customization of your background in a video call, so that could be improved.""I haven't had any big challenges. The annotation feature should be improved. So if I need to mark something or point something out, it's there, but it's not that user friendly. Other than that it's fine. In terms of collaboration, I think there could be some improvement."

More BlueJeans Meetings Cons →

"I would like ConnectWise Control to be more transparent on the real costs to renew their license.""There could be improvement to the remote command line tools.""Support for PAC files on the guest's side and support for proxy on the host's side. Currently, there is no support for guest-side PAC files or for the host-side proxy (which uses authentication).""If it had Chrome capability, that would be great; being able to use it on a Chrome device. Right now, I can't use it on my Chrome device.""Something that I would like to see in the future is mobile video streaming. They do provide audio conferencing, but seeing the problem makes it easier to solve the problem. If they had video streaming, if a client had a physical problem with something and I couldn't get remote access, the client could use his mobile phone to show me the problem. In these cases, even if a client's systems were down, I could help, so long as I had a mobile phone environment.""We have had issues. We have had circumstances, for reasons we don't know, where the service will stop running, and when the service stops running that computer no longer becomes reachable. We haven't really seen that so much on desktops, but we have seen that happen quite frequently on server operating systems, Server 2008, Server 2012. You can install the product and then a week down the road it will just stop.""They could provide a toolbox for the plan I'm on.""There can be some complexities when running patches or when building up all the profiles, making them areas where improvements are required."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "I once tried buying it for myself, but it was very costly. It is quite expensive as compared to other solutions. With BlueJeans, there are carrier charges if you call the toll-free number. The customer doesn't pay for the call, but the buyer or the subscriber of BlueJeans has to pay for it. That is where BlueJeans becomes very costly, and that is where Google, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom are very helpful because you don't have to pay these charges."

  • "Good price and works well."
  • "Their licensing model is good, their pricing model is good, their service is good; bandwidth is excellent. They're consistent."
  • "I think the product's pricing is a good value. I paid $600 a year and that was fine for me. It was about $50 a month. Licensing is all very straightforward."
  • "It is priced well and it is still a great value. Although I have been reading a lot about Splashtop. They are getting pretty competitive on their pricing, including a fairly easy to use remote support for mobile applications, like iOS and Android."
  • "Pricing is fair for Control and the licensing is simple."
  • "The cloud version is relatively inexpensive, but the on-premise version is expensive if you do not need three technicians, only one or two for concurrent sessions."
  • "It is priced fairly."
  • "Make sure you have enough licensing for all the techs that you have."
