Valuable, reliable, and offers a comprehensive dashboard
Setting up Barracuda was moderately complex and it took about an hour with initial support from Barracuda engineers. While the deployment process wasn't overly complicated, having some knowledge about Barracuda or assistance from an engineer is advisable, especially when dealing with customer architectures. Once set up, ongoing support wasn't necessary, making it a relatively straightforward process.

Backup and recovery options integrate smoothly while affordability remains a challenge
My relationship with Veeam is that I am a reseller and system integrator. The support for both cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure from Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 impacts my data protection strategy because that's the reason we are using Veeam. Veeam is a platform that supports both on-prem and cloud. It's a single pane of glass that we can support both, which is one of the good reasons we are using Veeam. The key benefits my organization has experienced with Veeam's integration of SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, and Teams within its data protection framework are that single licensing is one of the things customers prefer to use because it's very easy for them to manage. I would rate Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 overall an eight on a scale from 1 to 10.

Pros

"The most valuable functionality is their robust blocking feature, along with fundamental rules for our environment."
"It makes it easier for customers to access emails during security incidents."
"If a customer faces an email security issue, we'll do some initial troubleshooting. If the issue isn't resolved, we work with the Barracuda team for further assistance."
"I find Barracuda Essentials' dashboard incredibly valuable as it provides everything I need at a glance."
"The most valuable feature is that we don't need different agents to back up our files from different accounts."
"We have backups for Microsoft 365 because it is in the account of the complete tenant compromise. If we lose access to a tenant or all of the client's data gets Microsoft 365, and they lose access to all of their emails, OneDrive, and Teams data, then at least we have an off-site copy that is not linked to their Microsoft side of things."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the replication functionality."
"Veeam Backup for Office 365 has good security, and I also like the process they use for backups."
"The feature that I like the most is the system backup recovery from OneDrive."
"This is an easy-to-install easy-to-use solution for backing up Office 365 email."
"For data security, we rely on Veeam Backup for Teams and it is quite effective."
"The solution provides good backup services for Microsoft 365."

Cons

"They could implement scheduled reporting in the product."
"Sometimes there are minor issues that can be frustrating, but not consistently bad."
"Enhancements are required on the data transmission front."

"The installation could always be a little bit easier. You do need to be a bit technical."
"They should improve the backup and restoration time."
"If one administrator wants to delete something in 365, another admin must approve it."
"It would be beneficial to implement a mechanism that allows for more efficient input processing, such as recognizing the first capital letter of an email account."
"Its price could be improved."
"It's hard to predict the usage on the storage. I need to make some estimates for customers in terms of how much storage will be needed on the cloud, and this is always tricky. It would be helpful if they could help us estimate storage or simplify the estimation portion."
"They could include WAN acceleration to compress the traffic to make things faster."
